We stayed two nights, dining in the hotel both nights. Dinner on the second evening started with a glass of champagne while we reconsidered the menu, then we both opted for the duck terrine, followed by the panache des poissons with beurre blanc, cabbage and...heritage blue potatoes, which were very, very tasty. For dessert we had a meringue and chestnut confection / a nougat glacé maison. We drank a white St Joseph. On balance, but a very fine balance we think this is a better meal than the previous evening's but there is little in it. I am very impressed by the standard of service at breakfast, as yesterday I had asked for warm milk for my coffee. This morning there was already warm milk by the coffee machine. A lovely place to stay and eat.More
A great restaurant with set menus that can be interchanged, starter from one, main course from another. Also has a la carte.
Dining in Auberge Le Fiacre under the rustic timber beams of the 200-year-old former farmhouse was a wonderful experience. Auberge owner André personally greets you and the wait staff offer plenty of personalized attention. While the restaurant excels in old classic dishes like homemade paté...de foie gras, the chef also put new twists on old recipes, using the finest ingredients and an attractive presentation. The lamb and skate main dishes were particularly memorable, and the cheese plate, baba au rhum and passionfruit tarts finished off the meal to perfection. There is also an extensive wine list to suit a wide variety of wine palates. Although situated in the middle of the countryside, this restaurant could easily hold its own in Paris or in our home town of New York City.More
Booked one night on our return journey to the UK from Normandy. We were looking for a comfortable room with a good restaurant and Le Fiacre provided both very well. The bonus was the heated pool which our daughter made great use of before dinner.
We were staying in nearby accomodation and were looking for a restaurant for diner. We picked up an advertising leaflet in the Berck tourist office and went to check the place before booking for the same evening. We first had drinks outside on the terrace,...service was efficient and pleasant. We were presented with the menus, we went for the "confiance menu", changed everyday based on fresh market produces. We choose cheese instead of dessert. We went inside for diner, the place is beautiful inside, full of character. Our table was in a small room; nicely decorated and overlooking a lovely garden. Diner went well, bread was freshly made, delicious. Food was really good and well presented. As requested we got a selection of local cheeses, which were named for us by the waitress. Only "negative" point, once given the bill, nobody showed up to record our payment. We finally went to the reception. Maybe a bit overpriced for the area. We did not see the reviews before, just as well. Overall we had a very nice evening and enjoyed our experience.More
