We just came back from Porter's Diner with a not so pleasant experience. Usually, the food is okay to good, but today we have not really received the food as expected. Hubby's eggs were not over easy, but cooked with a lid. The fired potatoes...were not crispy anywhere. I ordered an omelette western style, which in the end consisted of ham and lots of onions, but no bell peppers. It was very dry in consistency when I ate it. The coffee had a weird taste to it, so I didn't drink it. The server had seen this and asked about it. I told her that I thought it tasted funny and that I couldn't drink it. She asked me if I wanted a tea instead, which I declined as well. I was surprised to find it on the invoice. Should have checked the invoice before husband paid, because I would have challenged that. Not a good experience this time!More

service could have been better, was really slow. Food was average for a diner, but good for flavor and plenty of it.

I went with a group of friends on a rainy day. Seats available for us but diner quickly filled up. It was a great day for comfort food, grill cheese sandwich and soup but there was no soup available -- apparently they don't serve soup...on the weekend. Disappointing. The others had breakfast items and enjoyed their meal. The retro vibe is in full swing with pictures of vintage cars everywhere. The conversation at the table included the cars and the location where picture when taken. Nice. Service was very slow although the server was friendly and accommodating.More

This Diner is well known in the Fredericton and area for their fine breakfast menu. Their specialty is grilled or deep fried potato chunks to accompany their delicious bacn and eggs.

Great place on weekends but the food is really hit or miss. Theres one petite waitress with blonde highlights and a bit quieter who gets the order wrong everytime. The other waitress Kim is great though. Food can be so good but on a bad...day can be really bad.More

I will let the pic speak for its self. Burnt bacon, toast and hone fries. Also i ordered over easy and go dry over cook scrambled eggs, which they replaced with runny under cook over easy. The cook here is garbage and screwed up breakfast...i don’t want to see what he would do with other foods. Do yourself a favour and go to Sweet Belgium desire five minutes up the road, best breakfast in town.More

I love going to Porters Diner. There is a combination of items that make it perfect! The staff have always been friendly and that adds to the 5 rating. The atmosphere and old school decor, always adds as a conversation piece. The food is spot...on! I'm a sucker for crinkle cut french fries and a classic club...and it tastes good! Great spot for a business lunch, couples lunch or just a random stand alone lunch! I love Porters Diner!More
