This menu boasts the most spectacular dishes created by the Mastro Chef Ino always creating magic in the kitchen. Also the warm welcome upon arrival from Jorge the ultimate host who runs the front of the house. My favorite dishes are the Tuna Carpaccio which...is just pure heaven, Garlic Shrimps, and the Octopus which is cooked to perfection and last but not least The PAELLA which will change your life!!More

we stopped by one night and felt like we should have been better dressed. The menu boasted a variety of meat dishes and was intimate and seemed to genuinely cater to a mature crowd - not beach kids and certainly not small children

Amazing Spanish sea food, nice people, great service. The best place in Puerto Viejo, no doubt! I had the tuna and touched the heaven with each bite! Mi husband tried the octopus, and was the glory too!

The food was excellent everywhere our family of five went during our 12 day trip in the Puerto Viejo region. But this restaurant offers something more than great food: the feeling of arriving home and being among old friends. We felt like that with Josepe...and "The Chef" even before we received an excellent meal paired with great Spanish wine in this quiet, intimate, lush garden. We went back a second time so we can say with great confidence: feel free to try anything on the menu, you won't be disappointed.More

We had a really nice meal here. A very sweet little outdoor seating area separated from the street by a lovely garden and front yard. Nice Spanish touches, the wine, the food, the sparkling water (love me a good sparkling water) and friendly service.

After spending 10 days in Puerto Viejo and trying different restaurants every day, we can say Como en la Gloria was the best meal on this trip. The small restaurant takes up a lovely house overlooking a garden, a little set back from the main...road. We were welcomed with an amuse bouche, which was a lovely start to a delicious meal. The red tuna, which was one of the catch of the day offerings, was the most tender I've had in years, and my partner's steak was also cooked to perfection. Great desserts as well. We thought our meal was very inexpensive for the quality of the dishes we had. Service was great and toward the end of the night, the chef came out to speak with all guests. Great dining experience!More

Best Meal in Costa Rica. This Spanish restaurant was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. It was great. The amuse bouche of Spanish potato torta with tomato bruschetta was mouth watering. That was followed by the best gazpacho I’ve had in years. They had...meatballs as a nightly special. They were so good we begged for more. Super friendly host, who is the owner, together with his partner who is the cook. Great wine list and deserts to die for. IMHO this is a don’t-miss place, especially if you’re tired of rice and beans.More

This Spanish restaurant is a very welcome addition to our funky Caribbean town. I’ve visited 3 times and had great food and service every single time. A nice free slab of tortilla española to start, shrimp in garlic sauce (al ajillo), zucchini carpaccio (wow!), white...garlic soup to die for and tuna carpaccio. I don’t eat meat but my husband said his pork chops were delish as well. Bravo to Jorge and chef Inocencio. You made us feel at home and fed our souls!More

Had the paella, under cooked, waiter spent almost the entire time talking to another customer. So obviously not attentive

You wait hours for average food. The service is rude, almost outrageous. I really can not understand the positive reviews.
