Great choices on the menu and specials, with plenty of good local produce (wild boar, venison, etc). Good service and friendly atmosphere. Lovely country pub decor - a safe choice for a reliably good meal in pleasant surroundings.

Came here with my partner for a evening meal. Upon arrival got a stressed out vibe/ couldn't be assed vibe off the bar tender (whom I assume is the owner?) After waiting 15 mins for a menu we eventually placed our order at the bar. Then another 15 mins later we were seated. My partner had a lasagne which had... More

We frequented this pub over Easter as we were staying at Blaisdon House. The first night we were lucky to get a small table as we hadn't booked beforehand. The food was pricey but amazing with good portions sizes.

Lovely old pub in quiet location. We went on our first night for drinks and the pub dog became best friends with our dog whilst we chatted to locals. Went back the next night for dinner which was lovely, with good service & roaring woodburner.

We visited here the first night of our stay. The service was very good and being a Saturday night was busy but we were still made very welcome. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. Good selection of specials as well as menu. In fact we went again whilst on our holiday.
