The tearoom itself is very good, with efficient service, lots of choice, nice food and good drinks. All at a reasonable price and served on wonderfully old crockery, it's like tea at your grandmothers. Some of the outside tables are a bit wonky. It is set back and is amongst a number of bric-a-brac shops and craft shops that may... More

An impulse visit, great tea and coffee, a cheese scone so light it nearly floated away and a homemade coffee and walnut cake which was lovely. We will defiantly be back for their breakfast.

We've been here multiple times over the years and every time time the food has been superb. Although it is very small and booking is most definitely advisable it is so worth it. Sunday lunch is excellent. The main is limited due to the size but I am sure if they could accommodate you they will. Jo is very friendly... More

What a lovely little place run by a fab team of ladies (and the cutest of pups!) I've been a few times now and can highly recommend whether its for a spot of lunch or a quick pit stop! Beautiful range of teas (with individual tea pots and little cups & saucers too!) and bottled drinks - all the old... More

Thank you for a lovely spread for our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. The service was excellent like it always is when we go there. We will be going again sometime in the future. Thanks again.

An oasis of gentility with a wonderful choice of teas enjoyed from bone china cups and saucers. Gentle background music, quietly efficient and friendly staff together with a varied menu meant that we visited more than once during our holiday. The food was absolutely delicious: thai vegetable soup with warm granary bread, or spicy bean salad. Fantastic. It was dog... More

Lovely atmosphere and location. Really delicious breakfast (bacon buttie / smoked salmon on scrambled egg). Coffee could do with being a wee bit stronger (extra shot cappuccino rather drowned in milk). But even if you're fussy about coffee go, it's delightful and the staff were very friendly. We were hoping to meet the famous dog, but he was obviously tired... More

Have visited the Tea Room at Harts Barn several times on route to the Forest of Dean. It never disappoints. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious. I have eaten lunch there - the menu has specials on a board - I had Fishcakes last time I went for lunch and they were delicious and the portion size... More

So on the rare occasion that i have time I pop into this great tea room for real tea and a slice of homemade cake on the way to pick up my daughter. Today didn't disappoint a pot of loose leaf tea and Devine carrot cake to aid the weary traveller. So glad I stopped! If you are anywhere near... More

These delightful tearooms at Longhope, Glous, - a real eye opener for us. Charming surrounds, favoured by a herb and flower filled garden, impeccable service of food from an imaginative menu (the blessing of varied loose leafed teas) a wonderfully thoughtful and welcoming ambiance.- extending to our (well behaved little dog) we could not fault any aspect of our visit.... We are a family-run tearoom focusing on using good quality local produce. We serve breakfasts, home-cooked lunches, light snacks & our highly regarded home-baked cakes and scones, enjoyed on their own warm from the oven, with clotted cream & jam, or as part of our celebrated afternoon teas. We have 16 loose leaf teas from which to choose, and James Gourmet Coffee from Ross-on-Wye. Booking is advisable for lunch & especially for Sunday roasts served every Sunday 12-3.
