This was my third visit in about 15 years. Each visit was less impressive than the last. The ceviche is as good as any and the de-boned fried fish as good as ever but I've decided over-pricing is the main reason why I won't be in a hurry to return. A lunch meal for 4 with ceviche starters and a... More

Our taxi driver suggested the Banco de Mariscos to us. What a wonderful family restaurant in the heart of Santa Barbara. They served delicious seafood dishes in large portions and the service is extremely fast and efficient. My family and I went twice during our 5 day stay in Alajuela. We loved fish and shrimp cerviche, it was out of this... More

This restaurant has its own boats and they bring in seafood fresh. It is not fancy food, but it is really good, fresh fish, prepared simply and tastefully. The portions are good and the service is excellent. The prices are fair. I recommend any of the garlic dishes. They add plenty of garlic. Also the tres leches for dessert is... More

A long time since my last visit and was not disappointed with the quality and freshness of my tilipia dinner. Cooked a la plancha over a bed of red, ripe tomatoes. My friend had a tender filet with tomato salsa. Next the desserts, flan de coco andtres leche. Both good.

I had Ceviche Mixto and it was quite good, accompanied by patacones, also good. Ceviche is really an appetizers, so it's not huge but with the patacones it was perfect. My friends had fish (Sea Bass) and shrimp dishes that all looked good. The place is very well priced. It's a big place and could acccomodate a large group. It... More

This restaurant has been in Santa Barbara for a long time and it's very popular with the locals. I haven't been there in years because I had been very unhappy with the service in the place, but I recently went there for a birthday celebration with friends and I decided it is well worth another review. The food was outstanding.... More

One of the best places to visit if having large groups as it a big, Also a great option for people like me who don´t like much seafood. Large variety and a very beautiful aquarium with huge goldfish. Must visit while in Costa Rica.

Most of the time it is full, so you can figure out how good is it, it is big enough, and the dishes are pretty good, I recommend it to anyone for sure.

Great seafood, the paella for 2 was delicious and had enough food for 4 people! Definite local feel, not touristy at all. Bit of a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish.
