I have just been to Edible matters as part of a table of ten, our waitress was so attentive and friendly- i think her name was Jade?? Every one of us was made sure we had drinks, this was nice because we were sat outside on the deck. We were all brought glasses of water even without asking which was pleasant. The food was exactly as ordered- it was fresh and homemade, I had mac&cheese with the beet salad and it was gorgeous. Would 10/10 recommend, worth every penny :)

Four of us reserved for supper on a Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but not overly. 2 people said their meals were ok. 1 person said theirs was good. But mine - oy! I ordered the arctic char. It arrived way too overcooked (dry, dry, dry with crunchy edges). The lentils were bland. The broccolli was steamed, with no seasoning, no nothing. The best part was the carrot miso puree. Don't order this one. It sucks. I'd probably not go back to this place. Saving grace: the musician was great.

The feel of a market all in one place. Local craft goods, Coffee shop, bakery and restaurant with large outdoor patio and indoor dining areas. Food: Wonderful and diner-centric. *Sugar-free chocolate* allowed this diabetic the treat of a mocha. The crabcakes had flavour, but weren’t overpowering. Potatoes were crispy on the outside with a fluffy center. Chicken and waffles were a great combination of sweet and savory with a spicy kick to the tender, moist chicken. Cocktails were delicious. The mojito was made with fresh pineapple and mint. The lavender came through as well. Service: Attentive and patient. She took the time to answer all questions and made recommendations that made our dining experience even better (mocha, crabcakes, coffees, cocktails). Recommended we visit the bakery for dessert, which they could then bring to the table.

Brunch for 5 with reservation on Sunday. Did not need reservation, no wonder! Have enjoyed previous brunches here but never again. Quality and variety way down but prices up. No value here. $16 Eggs Benny with bacon add on for 4 of us and I had Cinnamon Raisin French Toast for $14. Poached eggs had hard yolks, not as ordered and hollandaise was weak. French toast bread was thin not fluffy Texas cut. We all agreed we would not return. Better quality, value and variety at Sunnyside Too! Mgmt needs to rethink their menu changes. Never seen the place so empty but totally understand why.

First time for me, but other Family members had been before, and two of them were dissapointed. I had the egg biscuit and coffee, which arrived cold. I wasn't asked how I like my eggs, so they were way overcooked, and the biscuit was too hard to cut. My Wife had the quiche, but she said it was flavorless. Potatoes were good, and the wait staff were very pleasant.

We went here for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. We arrived at the time of opening, there were 4 of us. We had our order taken in a fairly quick time; breakfast on the other hand took about an hour - it was a simple order; bacon and eggs and eggs benedict for 2. Not an hour of preparation time but it took that long to get our order. When we queried this, we were told it was because of our order and there were 4 of us. Other customers came in after us and were served before us. Will not return to this restaurant. The manager at her own discretion took something off the bill due to the inconvenience; our bill was $78 - she took off $3.50 - an insult! We were also told that there were others in the restaurant at another part of it. Like I mentioned earlier, we were almost the first customers through the door.

We had brunch there today. It was a bit of a let down from two years ago I’m sorry to say. The bacon, while plentiful didn’t measure up, the sour dough bread was tough, the potatoes weren’t that great neither. Maybe it was just an off day. Not sure we will return which is sad because it was one of our fav places a couple years ago when we visited.

We stopped for a weekday lunch. I ordered seared scallops on beet puree with pea shoot salad. I wasn't sure I'd like it as I don't eat beets but i really wanted scallops. I needn't have worried. My DH ordered a cup of tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich which he couldn't stop talking about. Everything was simply excellent. Service was prompt, courteous, and spot on. There is also a delicious offering of various baked goods to tempt you to take home.

My wife & I went to the pub last night with 2 other couples. We usually eat here on average once every 2 to 3 weeks. We were disappointed to learn they removed the waffle fries from the appetizers. This item was probably the thing that brought us to EM to eat more than anything else. My wife ordered the Chipotle Nachos - it was tasty, but not even close to the waffle fries as an app. Very little cheese on the nachos, more sauce. We wouldn’t order it again. I had the Cod dish with fries. Nice tasting, but portion size for the Cod was disappointing. I wouldn’t order that again either. In this day an age of lots of choices to eat, I would be careful on turning away customers because of changes &/or reducing food portion size. I said I won’t return anytime soon. They have live music here every Fri/St evening. Music was very good.

I was recently at Edible Matters for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I requested that my eggs be done a specific way, and they came out perfect! That usually doesn't happen. I had an incredible London Fog that was so good! The food was fresh the service great! Had a wonderful experience!

We visited Edible Matters on September 25, 2021. They are both a bakery, unique gifts shop and a restaurant. The restaurant is much bigger inside than we had thought. Lots of space between guests and everyone following COVID protocols. We ordered the Bacon Burger, wings and a side order of fries. Everything was very good. We’ll presented as well. Our waitress, Tricia, was excellent. All the staff in general seemed happy and friendly. There was live entertainment while we were there as well, he was great. Our bill with drinks and a second burger to go was 67.85. Very reasonably priced.

Moved to the area recently and this was our first visit. Dined on the deck. Staff were attentive and friendly. Our lunch for 3 was fantastic. Delicious white sangria. We had the shrimp tacos and a curry dish. We all enjoyed our meal and plan to return soon.

We live locally and keep meaning Tto go in again. (It's been years.) This morning we wanted breakfast so we thought, try the local place. Mistake. I ordered chicken and waffles. I requested the "Cajun sauce" that the server said is added after the chicken is cooked, on the side. What arrived was clearly pre-cooked and held. The pic shows the "maple butter" on the top of the waffle. I had to ask what it was. The waffles clearly were not warm enough to melt butter. The chicken was a small thigh with A LOT of batter. I like dark meat, but I honestly don't know how they managed to cook whole chunks of batter with no chicken inside to be coated. One end of the piece was batter only, the other end had the meat. Also the potatoes were not hot. Husband had a platter with bacon and maple sausage. The sausage was more like a spicy Italian with no discernible maple flavor. The sourdough toast on his plate showed almost no sign of having been buttered and by the time we got it it was too cold to add more butter. There is a lot being pre-cooked here I wouldn't be surprised if it was pre-cooked yesterday. The server asked her question ("how's your food") a little late but she asked it none of that nonetheless and I told her that the it would be nice if the waffles were at least warm enough to melt butter. She asked a couple of times if she could bring me another plate so I let her. Unfortunately the second plate wasn't any better. What I could see was that my waffle had been double cooked. It was still warm enough to melt the butter (if they hadn't actually used the salamander or a barbecue lighter to melt the butter), but it was also double-cooked and dried out, quite dark. Chicken showed the same amazing ability to have lots of batter with not much chicken inside. In addition to this I'd have to say that the flavors were not complimentary and overcomplicated. The chicken was spiced something cajuny despite not having the sauce that was mentioned. There was a spiced ricotta as well that just didn't work with the waffle. Latte was okay. We just won't be going back, though I've heard the place is up for sale-- so maybe a new owner can breathe new life.

So so good, we went for a Sunday drive and discovered this gem. Had a terrific brunch and looked through the little shop/ bakery. Had the best homemade raspberry flakey. Was unreal.
