Had dinner with our two friends tonight. Service was unfriendly, rushed, didn't get my starter first received it with my meal that was absolutely gross (roast beef special). Had two bites, told the waitress it was not good and she charged me full price and...charged me half our friends order and gave me attitude when asked about all of it. I don't care how busy you are there is no reason for a terrible attitude. Will never go back again. Save your money...dumpster dive.More
Visited March 13, 2020. Good atmosphere. Great location. Had chicken cordon Swiss burger, fish and chips and JD burger. Asked what is best on menu... JD burger. Comes out as pre fab from a box!!!!!!! WTF! Seriously... save that as a special on a Monday...night add a beer make it a special and cut the price in half. ❤️To keep it local but make your burgers homemade!More
Had lunch here and my BLT sandwich was tasty but the caesar salad although its wonderful they used real bacon in it, I have tasted better. The lettuce didnt taste quite right.
we had planned another restaurant but it was closed so we dropped in here Other then the interior looking a bit old,it was a very pleasant visit.. The chairs were comfortable , the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great
This is a nice pub to have a cold one and a hamburger! The view from the patio is nice and the fries are great. Lots of bikers stop here for a quick bite on their adventure’s. I would go back. Wednesdays is wing night!
Visited the pub several times this summer. Always found the staff friendly, the food is good, and the location on the river is beautiful. This is a local pub for us and we’re happy to have a quality place so close.
We make a point of visiting this establishment when we go to our summer home at Mara Lake. We have had quesidillas all over and their's are the best. Actually there isn't anything we have tried on the menu that we have been disappointed. Friendly...service, unique setting and great food what more can you ask for.More
We visited this unique pub when we visited a friend in Grindrod. We sat on the outside patio by the river. Lots of mosquitos there and they gave us bug spray. The food was really delicious and quick and friendly service. Very nice place to...visit.More
It is an unique place placed right on the banks of the Shuswap River surrounded by green trees and fresh air. The eating area is a large open area with abundant tables and chairs.Some settings are available for large groups. The menu gives you many...choices. Alcoholic drinks are available. Children are allowed in except on Friday & Saturday nights when they are restricted. It has a happy atmosphere with much visiting and laughter going on. The staff are very accommodating ,friendly and service is fast. The surroundings are clean & pleasant. Food is very good and fresh.More

Chicken wings were good, spinach salad great. Burgers very good. Clam chowder a little too starchy. But the views!

We looked at menu online after we finished golfing in Salmon Arm. Drove up hoping to sit on patio with our sons. Even though sign outside saying "family licensed restaurant" it is very limited. 4 small tables by the front door & washrooms in closed...off area in the dark corner with flies buzzing around is one option if adults would like an alcoholic beverage or a seperate patio outside that has 3 tiny cafe tables we had to push together but no alcohol allowed on this patio because they do not have a license out there. Pub over all was nice & its large and food was food. I had mini Yorkies & they were really good. Sons poutine & BLT were also good. ( ya I tasted them). Service was okay but partially due to this patio being off away from rest of place & it got really busy for waitresses.More
The pub is situated on the river, however, all the outdoor spaces allow smoking, so unless you want to sit in a cloud of smoke, you have to sit inside. When we asked for a spot that wouldn't be smoky, the waitress rudely told us...it was a smoking patio, so obviously there would be smoke. The other section with a decent view is reserved for families, and there's no alcohol served there. Management may want to rethink the seating arrangements. Why should non smokers get the poorest seats? When I asked what vegetables were in the vegetable wrap, I was told "carrots, and vegetables", again quite rudely like I was an idiot not to know what vegetables were! The food was okay. The bills were brought, and then we waited a long time before the server returned with the debit machine. I normally tip well, but because of the servers attitude, I only left 10%. When she didn't bother to even say thank you, I was sorry I left a tip at all. I won't be in a hurry to return.More
We are here last weekend. The servers did their best, but there were only two of them for the whole restaurant, so service was understandably slow. Pretty typical pub fare. There were only 4 beers on tap. Small patio. Definitely a biker hang out.
