The waitress:
If you were a little more demanding of yourself, you would be professional.
You wouldn't have forgotten the bread.
You wouldn't have gone wrong with dessert.
While serving dessert you could have asked if we wanted coffee.
Restaurant:
The positive points.
The very professional boss, the cleanliness, the terrace.

Our first visit to this little restaurant above Amelie les Bains, and we will definitely be back.
For 20 euros each we enjoyed starters of melon and parma ham in Banyuls sauce, and local tomatoes with cheese and pesto, followed by delicious beef cooked perfectly with tasty hand-cut chips. Poached peaches with sheeps' milk ice-cream finished off the meal.
A glass of local wine cost a reasonable 4 euros.
We arrived early, having allowed time to negotiate the winding road up the mountain, and were able to enjoy the magnificent views to the Mediterranean before sitting down to lunch.
We will be returning with friends.

This is the second time we have visited, the first being last May. Once again the food was excellent with subtle and effective combinations of flavours. A meal to be savoured. The wine too was excellent and the 30 euro menu makes this incredibly affordable. This was my birthday and I couldn’t have had a more enjoyable experience.

The reception is unacceptable. Waitresses not friendly at all. The food really leaves something to be desired. The meat was tough.
In the menu there was cheese and dessert, they only brought dessert. They serve you an aperitif after entering and they dare to yell at you. They have to beg for bread and water. We order a beer from the region, they serve a draft, don't even apologize and don't change it. A place to avoid, we were extremely disappointed. Bad value for money.

We are seriously in love with Le Point d’Art! The lovely terrace just steps from the 10th century church in this scenic mountain village is only the start. They’ve just initiated the autumn menu and everything we’ve tried was delicious, creative, high quality fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection. The plat du jour one day was Blanquette de Veau which was the best we’ve ever had. Service is always friendly and attentive at Le Point d’Art, rounding out a highly satisfying dining experience.

The restaurant is very well located in a quiet, small perched village. The card is changed regularly. Flawless from starter to dessert. Good advice for wine. Very friendly welcome. We will definitely return next year.

Visited again yesterday. A modern inventive menu, our entrees included a poached egg with smoked salmon and also white asparagus with Bresaola both absolutely delicious. We then continued with veal in a rich mushroom sauce and also a brandade de morue with flakes of fresh cod.
The welcome was warm and despite a large party being served in an upper room the service was exemplary.
Great food , great service and great value.
Will be back soon!

I have visited several times now for lunch and the quality and value is outstanding. The menu is creative, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The three owners are welcoming and there is a family atmosphere making the customer feel valued. If you contact them in advance they are also more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements. Definitely not one to miss.

Read reviews about the restaurant by others - visited at lunchtime for a super sangria and booked a table for the evening. What a great find! Great food, at an incredible price, coupled with excellent service. Montbolo is situated at about 500m, so also a great drive up, with stunning views. Can’t recommend highly enough, and will certainly visit again when next in the area. Good luck to the owners, and wish you great success for the future, after offering such a great service and experience!

We loved our lunch outside at Point d'Art, on a terrace facing a beautifully restored chapel. It's a stunning setting. The food was delicious - burrata (what a treat!) & seasonal tomato starter, perfectly cooked steak with scrumptious chips, and homemade shortbread biscuit topped with fig coulis and ice-cream made from sheep's milk. It's well worth a visit.

Great little restuarant in the middle of the mountain village of Montbolo. Family run with excellent food in a great ‘home cooking’ style. €20 three-course menu is excellent value and wines also well priced.

Great food absolutely perfect with fresh ingredients. All perfectly assembled. Could have been a top restaurant in New York or London. Stunning views. A bit of a drive to get to but well worth the effort. Menu was very simple and understated but totally delicious. Could not fault a thing. Service was impeccable and wine was divine. Well done to the chefs and the entire team to make our last evening so memorable.

A top server, available, smiling, knowing how to manage his service very well.

Very nice place, attentive, good cooking. Fresh vegetables.
Terrace is beautifully situated. Absolutely worthwhile the visit. Make a walk around the village; which is a historical site. On top of that absolutely value for money.
