After being totally lost for 30 minuets and a 5 month old that needed a feed, I stumbled across this lovely tea rooms. I walked in more than a little stressed to the most lovely warm welcome. I sat down and explained I needed to feed the baby. Normally asking for some hot water to warm the babies bottle is... More

This fantastic tea room is a 'must do' if you are in the area. The staff are genuinely welcoming and bursting with enthusiasm. The cafe is located in a warm and wonderful historic building that feels homely and comfortable. The tea is served in proper bone china service and the home made scones are to die for.

Another visit to Ye Olde Steppes and never disappointed. Sam, Sarah and co were so welcoming and the tasty treats didn't disappoint. I took three friends with me who had never visited before and they all bought gift vouchers for Christmas presents, they were so impressed. Had the gorgeous scone with cream cheese & onion marmalade, my mouth is watering... More

We decided to stop here for a midday snack on a cold dismal January day. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. The ladies running the show were a ray of sunshine that brightened up the day. The food and drink were excellent too.

we stopped here on a trip through GB. The cakes and scones were great and they had just the perfect amount of choices. The ladies in the café were super friendly and the atmosphere was lovely and cosy. definitely worth a visit!

I love this place! Great coffee served by wonderful, friendly staff. Comfortable, warm and welcoming to everyone. Walking in and being greeted by the staff is like meeting up with an old friend. The menu is varied with daily specials on a board. Food is all freshly home cooked and delicious, especially the cakes. I would highly recommend a visit... More

Lovely little cafe, with super tasty breakfast pancakes. Just wish we lived closer! Staff are brilliant, especially the lady with raven black hair.

We were greeted like olde friends right from the word go and were blown away by the super menu which was gone through with us very carefully to make sure we knew everything they had to offer. Can't wait to return and try their quiche! Couldn't fault it in any way - well done everyone concerned you have made the... More
