The welcome and the service with attention and a smile, very friendly. The menu allows you to choose from tempting dishes. With friends, we had fish, steak, rabbit, tartare and everything was excellent, the plates are quite generous and the ingredients are of good quality. The fries are perfect. As for desserts, tiramisu, ice cream, apple pie with whipped cream, great!! The products are local. In short, the best thing is to go there and form your opinion, but make a reservation, because others know!! Moreover, this little village is charming.

Having a holiday home nearby in France we often come to L'Eau Blanche as we love the food, the service and the great terrace by the river. It has a great local feel. It is def not upmarket, come as you are and enjoy the hospitality!

Well, nothing changes, and especially nothing changes. Always delicious and hearty. Trout is very miller, at least here you are not looking for butter, it is there. For the pepper steack, same note, it is indeed a PEPPER-CREAM steack. Typical place just like dishes.

The food is very good, like always. The probleme was that the owner and the waiters didn't wear masks when we arrive. The owner asks us if we feel threatned by the way they do things and we said..it's the law..and he said anyway we have to put down the masks to eat...After 20 minutes, after another group of 5 peaple all wearing masks enter the restaurant...the owner told the waiters to put on their masks with the exception of the bartender. My husband dare to comment and our food was taken from us ( I wasn't finish) and told to leave if we don't feel safe and never come back and they refuse us to pay for the food because we were disagreable people . Well, we all know the danger fragile people are right now. It'a pitty some people don't see that. Well, I will miss the place ..we ate there for 7 years. A lot of memories. Shame really!

Small motorcycle ride to taste the homemade escapade. Excellent not disappointed for an under well served with fries and mayonnaise on request at very decent Award. Choice location, left of the restaurant. small table not top but in the shade and shelter from the crowd. Because it's very busy. Very good continuation. Robert.

Sit outside by the river looking towards the old church and taste the Escaveche which is a local cold dish based on eel fish. Take a tab beer Chimay triple. Enjoy life! Hard to find better place, quite, and in addition the waitress is always smiling!

We had a great dinner, nice weather, great food (I had a very tasty trout). A small river close by and the hills around made a perfect set. Recommended.

The service is great, the place is cute and they serve the best fish and meat in the area. Their fries are deliscious, really not greasy. Highly recommended: the sol meuniere.

The setting is enchanting especially if you can eat outside. The decor inside is rustic , on a rainy day it will make you feel warm and homey . We enjoyed the steak tartare ( un américain) and the famous tomatoes with little grey shrimps ( delicious, melting in your mouth) , home made french fries and plenty of it. The service was excellent, friendly . The place was full so you need a reservation, but even full they give you all the time you need to enjoy L'Eau Blanche. And don't forget to drink a Chimay!

Indeed a lovely surprise! In a tiny village in the hills of meridional Wallonia, I have found courtesy and smile, combined with excellent food based on regional dishes, both fish and meat. And, of course, the tasty beers of Chimay region. A fair price. A cosy location, it's really worth all the while!

L'eau Blanche is my favourite restaurant. It is situated in one of the most beautiful village in Wallonia : Lompret. The food is really tasty. Every time I go there I order the same dish : A steak "Sauce au poivre". Lompret is very close to Chimay, so you must drink the local beer. You have the choice between 3 different types. It is not expensive at all!

During a day trip to Chimay we were told to have lunch at this restaurant. The short trip outside the city was a full success. Their steaks ''Sauce Roquefort" & "Au Champions" were just great. You should have a local CHIMAY Beer (3 different types) with that. NO need to have wine! Price list for all is very reasonable! Excellent value for money. Just try it out yourself and comment .... .

To finish a good weekend with friends, we decided to try this restaurant in Lompret, one of the most beautiful village of Wallonia. Exceptional setting close to the water, welcome to the top by the whole team, friendly atmosphere, comforting meal, in short all the ingredients to have a good time. Special mention to the owner, who did not hesitate to make us taste all the specialties of the region: Chimay cheese, local cold cuts, homemade tiramisu, and the famous escavèche!

Following a visit during one of my delivery tours in summer I noticed a strong attendance..and on this 1st November after a hike I proposed to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law to visit ..and although say.. welcome of the very friendly boss who then despite it was 2pm held us a small table in his small establishment of another time where the essential is impeccable service and excellent dishes at a decent price..a very good time we will definitely return!

Arrived unexpectedly, the charming boss found us a table inside before other guests. We greatly appreciated the gesture! Food and service at the top despite the crowd!
