We are trying to discover more restaurants in Orleans. We read about this on trip advisor and decided to try it out. I had the Fruitti di Mare pasta and my husband got the Coq Au Vin. Both dishes were absolutely amazing and so full...of rich flavour. Cozy dining atmosphere and great service. We will definitely be back! Please keep these items on your menu!More

Been here a number of years ago, had found it good, but this time, it was awesome, 2 of us had the Mussels and fries one with Rose sauce the other with white wine and garlic, another person had the soup of the day which...was cream of broccoli, and a BLT sandwich which was really good, our server, Helena was alone and serving people inside and outside, she was awesomeMore

One of the best choices in Orleans. Relaxing ambiance, good food, attentive service. We’ve been dropping in here on and off for several years. Try the steak frites and the pudding chômeur. My only wish…decaffeinated cappuccino.

We've eaten here for dinner on several occasions and have never been disappointed. More recently we discovered their breakfast menu. We've been here now for breakfast or brunch several times in the past 3 months, once on the weekend and two or three times during...the week. Service and food quality were definitely best during the week when they are generally less busy. Our weekday server, Helena, is a gem! Her service is always very attentive and super efficient. Their Brasserie Benedict is outstanding - best with ham; but very good with bacon as well. The seasoned home fries are exceptionally good! The coffee is much better than you'll get in any diner we've been in for breakfast. The omelet is very good too; although we found it was made much differently on the weekend than during the week. Not sure why - different chef?! Overall though, we can highly recommend the breakfast/brunch experience here :)More

Of the 2 appetizers, I would recommend against anyone ordering either one. Moules frites was the worst I've had, didn't bother finishing it. Waitress asked how everything was, so I mentioned the mussels were not good and she explained that it was because they are...Pacific mussels and I must be used to Atlantic mussels... I could do without the condescension - I have eaten both and these were just bad, not terribly fresh tasting and sitting in an insipid sauce, why make it about me supposedly not knowing what it is supposed to taste like? The baked brie needed another few minutes in the oven. As for the entrees, the duck confit was so so and the tagliatelle was fine. Overall, not exactly a nice meal out.More

This was one of my favourite restaurants in Orleans and I was so disappointed when I heard after Christmas that they were closing permanently. So I was pretty excited to learn that they were re-opening over March Break. On my return visit I was incredibly...disheartened to get a really subpar meal. The menu is pretty much the same with a few new additions. I ordered a glass of wine and some bread and butter to come before my meal. After about 20 minutes I inquired again about the bread and was told by our waiter that the kitchen was especially busy (and true it was a busy evening). But then the bread arrived without butter and came with the meal which is what I was trying to avoid. For my meal I got the steak and fries (which is what I used to always order previously). The steak was okay but the fries looked like they had been sitting under a warmer for hours. They had also been soaked in the steak juice and just looked really unappetizing. The vegetables were also limp looking and dull. In addition the prices have gone up - I get it - food prices have gone up everywhere so that’s not too big an issue but the portions are significantly smaller. Overall very disappointing reopening. I will give them another chance since maybe because it was a busy night they were still getting their legs back.More

8 hours agoNEW I am wondering if Chef has changed. Been a few times before and was good. Last night I ordered the bavette et Frites and the steak was raw , sent back and still came back undercooked and absolutely no flavor at all....The aiolo was the same with no flavor and the French fries were also undercooked. I used to get vegetables with this dish but not this time. My friends fish was soggy and the pudding chomeur was dry. We had a reservation at 5 but we had ordered a few bottles of wine and appys before dinner and at dessert we were told we need to be out by 7 as they needed our table The only pleasant experience was the waitress who was amazing. Dont think we will be back.More

My girlfriends all got together here for a friend’s Birthday and were greeted very warmly. Service itself was good, waitress was good but we had to try and get attention a few times. 2 of my friends had the Steak and fries and neither were...cooked correctly, one was literally just rare vs the medium rare she ordered (so had to be sent back) and the other was also medium rare but she ordered medium. Both steaks had no flavour and no salt on table so couldn’t fix that. Fish and chips was also ok but again my friend just said the batter tasted like nothing, just bland. Then another one of us ordered salmon salad, said Salmon was ok, again not much flavour and it came with a pomegranate dressing but hardly any so had to catch the waitress for more. I ordered the escargot in a chimichurri sauce with butter and baked cheese. Came out all stuck together on a small plate and were so small and chewy. I have never been served escargot like that and definitely never have had some that were that tough. Mussels weren’t bad, flavour was different (red curry with chorizo sausage). Wasn’t a fan but again my choice so it tasted like description stated, last was the French pudding and it came out with just a little sauce on top and nothing else so was so very dry and crumbly. Very disappointed in the food here, heard great things, atmosphere was nice though but we were seated next to washroom. I would not say this is the #1 restaurant in Orléans by any means and would never go back.More

Suggested to my Boss and fellow managers that we have a working dinner outdoors. I suggested St Martha’s which advertised an outdoor patio under a great dining tent with palms, patio lights and a wooden floor. It exceeded my expectations with well docs tables (only...4 in total). Appetizers - charcuterie, escargots and salmon tartare were amazing. Everyone had the steak, except me. The stuffed chicken was delicious. Wine was lovely and affordable. I would have given 6* if I could.More

Patio was very busy for a Monday night. Despite this, there was only one server who was also responsible for the bar tending. Quite unacceptable. Very poor management planning! We felt very sorry for this young lady who was totally on her own serving approximately...10 tables. We can’t imagine how challenging this must have been for her and certainly could not blame her for delays as she did her best to provide efficient service. We ordered the chicken roulade which was very tasty.More

Our Friday night order of Fish and chips was fabulous. The fish arrived tender and warm, the fries were crispy. I totally recommend this place.

We dined on the patio with another couple. Tables were well spaced and appropriate measures were in place concerning use of masks and sanitizer. We ordered French Onion Soup, a burger with salad, fish and chips, cocktail, sangria and wine. The food was tasty and...the service was good. The total bill came to $85.50 before tax and tip. Lots of free parking.More

Usually the meal is excellent, this time we ordered skillets and they forgot to add the poached eggs to the skillet. They took the skillets back and put them under a warmer, by the time the eggs were cooked and the skillets brought back the...toast was cold. The skillets tasted great but forgetting a major component was a faux pas. Our server was very nice.More

We met with friends for dinner on a Tuesday. When we arrived a couple other tables were occupied, but the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. From the start our server seem impatient as we spent a bit of time chatting with our friends and didn't pick...up the menu immediately. We ordered drinks, and she returned twice to see if we were ready to order, then "adjusted " one of our menus, leaving it open on the table and explaining we should close our menus when we were ready to order ... oh dear. My plate of Spinach Ravioli in Cognac Cream Sauce was lacking: the sauce was more butter than cream, the filling ... bland, not sure where the spinach was, and my pasta was, sadly, under cooked - definitely not in the running for French cuisine. My husband had the burger and had no complaints. I should also note the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. A bit more attention to the comfort of guests would be appreciated - people were wearing coats and scarves, very unpleasant for fine dining. Our server just said they've been have problems with their heating system - no apology. There are a number of excellent restaurants & brew pubs in Orleans worth looking at; St-Martha's seems to be sliding down the ladder and may not even be a contender any more.More
