Decided to stay here overnight after visiting Borde Hill gardens, what an excellent choice it was too. Our room, was sufficient for our needs, nicely decorated, spotless, view over bistro garden and hills in the distance. Only downside was the three flights of stairs to climb to our room on the top floor, not so good if you are disabled, but having said that you could probably book a room on the first floor if available . We ate in the Bistro, again very nicely decorated, extremely pleasant staff and socially distanced. My starter was bubble and squeak patty, asparagus on top covered by a beautifully soft poached egg, absolutely delicious. Husband's gravadlax looked very good also. Main course.....slow-roasted pork belly with vegetables and apples sauce. The meat melted in your mouth and the crispy crackling was wonderful. The duck my husband ordered was very good according to him just cooked to his liking. No room for dessert but the menu looked good. We had a great bottle of wine plus a pint of beer, staff were very friendly and provided good service. Prices mid-range for the area but probably less expensive than some in that neck of the woods (being near to Brighton). Total bill with tip came to £80 for a very recommendable meal and evening out. Would certainly visit again if in the area - just for a meal ! would think booking was necessary especially at a weekend. Thanks to all for making our stay so very enjoyable.

We were lucky enough to have a weekend stay and dinner at Morley’s in June 2021 and it was utterly fabulous.
The rooms were so spacious and beautifully designed with lots of lovely little touches; it really feels like a lovely informal boutique hotel.
The food. Well. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast and every mouthful was utterly delicious and beautiful presented. I heartily recommend the fish goujon lunch wrap (so much beautiful cooked flakey white fish for a staggeringly reasonable price) and monkfish curry main at dinner (I was sad when I finished it and wanted a takeaway portion to take home) and the breakfast bap/roll situation.
The team really cannot do enough for you. So friendly, kind and fun. Very attentive but not intrusive and so warm and welcoming.
Cannot recommend Morley’s highly enough.

We were warmly welcomed , served promptly and professionally. The menu was exciting; there was a plethora of tasty dishes to choose from. Our food was fresh, absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and very well priced. This little Bistro is a hidden gem, it outdoes other local food providers. I thoroughly recommend a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in October. The dining experience was enhanced by both the relaxing environment as well as the extremely friendly staff.
The food was exemplary - dover sole special was elegantly cooked and the slow cooked pork belly very moreish. To top it off we both opted for the sausage hash at breakfast the following morning which was a memorable alternative to the traditional full english. Eager to come back in the not too distant future.

This place is a lovely restaurant not just for a meal but to pop in for coffee as well. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the place was beautifully set out . Each one of my friends had something different to eat and it all was presented beautifully and tasted really nice. I feel the prices reflected the food and the the whole place not too expensive and worth visiting.
A bonus as well the toilets were decorated to a high standard and very clean and presentable just on a personal note to other places I have been to before.

We had a superb Sunday lunch at Morley’s. The tasty, tender roast beef and crispy Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were accompanied by a generous, well cooked( not over cooked!) selection of vegetables. This is quite an achievement in a busy restaurant. The service was attentive and at £17 we felt the meal was excellent value.

We ate on a Friday evening and they were quite busy, which was nice to see. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Drinks (gin with fevertree), olives and starters were good, especially the fig salad with Roquefort. My partners fish main was good, though she would have liked slightly more colour to liven the plate. I had the fish curry which was ok but didn’t quite hit the spot. It needed a bit more spice/heat, a thicker sauce and maybe some coconut. The naan bread was very dense and chewy. We shared a raspberry dessert which was very rich and perhaps could have done with something sharper to cut through it, but the pastry case Was excellent- thin and crisp. Overall it was a nice meal but with a few touches could have been very good.

The food here is unbelievably good, and decently priced considering the quality. We were made to feel welcome and the menu was varied without being over complicated. The optional lunch menu was amazing value and the care and pride in the cooking and presentation is a delight..
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we will definitely be back again.

We had an absolutely fab roast dinner here and service to match! Would highly recommend eating here and we are just sad we don't live locally enough to come every week!
Thanks to the whole team as it felt like nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were smiling and seemed to be very happy whilst working there also.
The restaurant is in a great location and is beautiful inside too. We really enjoyed the whole experience here, thanks again!

We has a delicious lunch at Morleys. Have not been there before but were really impressed with the good service and tasty food. We had warmbread with balsamic viniegar and olive oil and olives to start and Moules et Frites for mains. The sauce with the moules was absolutely delicious. Everything put in place for covid safety.

If only there were more neighbourhood restaurants like this. We received a friendly welcome into a relaxed but quietly stylish wine bar/restaurant. The menu is short, but well chosen, the wines recommended by our host excellent. We needed only a light meal and chose the fish cakes - often a safe, if boring choice. These were excellent, full of fresh cod, beautifully cooked, as were the accompanying vegetables. The people at the next table were clearly enjoyying their pan-fried plaice.
It's a long way from Lewes but well worth the drive. We will return.

Our absolute favourite breakfast venue! The quality of the food is first rate, always cooked to perfection (and I’m fussy about my eggs😂) But more than that is the atmosphere and the staff… warm and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Just perfect!

Wonderful place to eat. Service and food excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Two of us had the fig, walnut and dolcelatte starter which was absolutely delicious and a great combination of flavours. Two had the pork belly for mains and both saying the crackling was lovely and crispy and the meat tender. Other mains were the the crispy teriyaki salad which was also incredibly tasty and the sea bass was also recommended.

We've visited many times now and there is always a friendly welcome. The garden is a lovely place to enjoy some drinks, some food and sunshine. The menu is always interesting and the food is tasty and effortlessly good - the side salads with mint leaves or dill as appropriate are just an example of the attention to detail.
