I first came across the Inn at Spencer Bridge by chance on my way home a from Kamloops. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly faces that welcomed me. I was provided a beautiful large room with picturestque view of the mountains, the river and the trains! The bed was comfortable and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was delicious! I returned about a month later for a 5 day stay for business because of my previous experience. The owners, Dorothy and Mike go above and beyond to ensure their guests have an enjoyable trip. The terrace, full of beautiful flowers and located on a bench overlooking the river, mountains and trains is an excellent place to relax and take in the beauty that surrounds you in the Canyon. The historic Inn provides a glimpse back into history with unique items carefully curated throughout. I look forward to my next stay.

We had an amazing stay with my 3 year old son and father. The room was spacious and newly renovated bathroom. The decor of the hotel was beautiful and so unique. The hosts were lovely and it was nice to sut together and chat in the evening. They provided toys for my child and made sure the property was safe for him without me even asking. I was so appreciative of their thoughtfulness. We enjoyed seeing the trains pass our hotel room window every 30-60 minutes. I felt like the train noise at night was all part of the charm. I would definitely stay again after feeling so welcomed.

Wow! The owners were great, full of information and very kind. We had the Railroad Room (not all the rooms have a private bath--this one does, and also a balcony). We could watch trains right off the balcony. We sat on the patio on the other side of the building in the morning and got some great photographs of the Thompson River, the train going the other way, and eagles, osprey and many smaller birds! It was amazing. Just be aware there are not a lot of dining options in the town. But what a great setting!!! And amazing restoration work on the building. There is a restaurant in the Inn, but it wasn't open that night. We did have a small breakfast there in the morning. I'm rating the Inn itself.

We stayed a number of times this summer at the Inn at Spence’s Bridge on buisiness travel and I can say that it is one of the most comfortable stays that I have had while on the road anywhere. It is clean and very interesting with the history of the gold rush and railroad. The owners are what really make the stay the best as they make you feel at home. Also a beautiful view of the Thompson river. This is the best place to stay between Vancouver and Prince George.

Great find! New owner, Mike Is in the process of restoring this magnificent building where Billy Miner stayed, and Granny Smith (apples). Beds were very comfortable and new! Rooms and hotel are clean! Mike is a wealth of knowledge regarding the inns history and interesting spots to visit around the area. Mike puts on a great continental breakfast! I will definitely stop on my next trip. Also, don't miss visiting with Archie. 11 out of 10. On our trip from Edmonton to Vancouver, this was by far the best place we stayed (4 total)

Stopped for a refreshing moment but was met at the door be back in 5 mins. Unfortunately it must have been Mexican minutes. Waited too long, very hot. So we road towards Merritt & stopped at The Monkey Garden & Bistro. Had homemade, home grown soup & cold coffee Latte's. Great farm & great people living off the land.

A rare find for good vegetarian food. Fresh bake bread daily. Provide a great view of the Thomson River and the valley. Quiet clean room when the train is not passing by. Great for young children who love to watch choo choo. There might be four trains passing by thr the night that u may feel the vibration in your room.

This is, by BC standards, a very old building. The restaurant is neat and affords a view of the Thompson river rolling by. Prompt, friendly service by the propritor. Tidy washroom. This location is one end of a very scenic, winding drive to Merrit, BC. Prospective visitors should note: this ain't Manhattan. Worth a visit.
