Mama Pasta is the only local restaurant we dined at while visiting Antigua—every other meal we ate at on our resort property. We had spent all morning at Long Bay Beach and saw the signs for Mama Pasta and decided that rather than walking back to our resort, The Verandah, we’d just walk up the hill and grab lunch at Mama Pasta. We were so glad that we did—it was fantastic. It’s in a beautiful location at the top of the hill overlooking the beach, with toms of flower gardens around it—it’s very picturesque. The staff was friendly and attentive. We just ordered a pizza and sodas, but the pizza was delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better lunch experience.
One small piece of advice—they do take credit cards for payment, but you cannot leave a tip on credit cards. Tips can only be left in cash…and they don’t have change for larger bills. We ended up leaving a tip that was larger than the cost of our meal, which we were ok with, but just something to keep in mind!

We always try to get to Long Bay at least once when we visit Antigua just for the sublime experience of enjoying one or two of Mama’s pizzas. Didn’t disappoint on our return today. The best we’ve ever had anywhere including Italy. Everything is home made by Mama. Crust is just right, thin but not so crispy you can’t eat it and toppings are well seasoned, well filled and just delicious. Prices very reasonable compared to elsewhere on the island. Easily missed but can be reached via steps at the back of the beach or through the car park on the left just before you reach Long Bay beach.

Nestling at the top of some blue painted steps between the vendors’ huts on Long Bay you will find this hidden gem that serves possibly the best pizzas we’ve ever tasted. All hand made on the premises, the base was so thin yet not so hard or crispy that you can’t cut it. We had the All American topping, which tasted amazing and although the large size was really too large for the two of us we managed to finish it all. We were given a warm, Covid safe welcome and all precautions were taken including checking vaccine passports, temp check and hand wash. The restaurant is a lovely shady spot to sit looking out over the bay or watching the tiny humming birds hovering round the bushes. I’m not really a huge fan of pizza but would go out of my way for more of Mama’s. This was our second visit and we’ll certainly be back next time we visit beautiful Antigua. Thank you.

Unfortunately this is the only place to eat on Long bay at the moment. We were told that there would be a good selection of sea food on the menu. The seafood stir fry at 70 ecd was full of chunky vegetables and only 4 prawns and no taste at all.
The woman who owns the restaurant was extremely rude to an American couple who came in. Will not be going back

We went to long beach for a day snorkelling and a storm came in, we took shelter in the restaurant. Myself, my parents, partner and 3 and 5 year olds all ordered drinks with the bill coming in at $70.
When ‘Mama’ came out and saw us she threw us out and told us this was not a place for drinks and we had to ‘eat and go’. She turfed me, my elderly parents and small children put into the rain despite us spending $70 and there being no a single other person in the restaurant.
She must be an extremely unhappy woman. She was completely vile, rude and obviously lacked any sort of business sense. I urge everyone to avoid at all costs.

Just as good as in 2019!! From the beach, Walk past the little colorful huts, up a aqua colored staircase then you have found Mama!!! Amazing pizza and pastas !!
I have dreamed of getting this pizza again and it didn’t disappoint!!
The seafood pizza is amazing. The crust is thin and crispy with a tomato sauce everyone that taste oohhhs and ahhhhs. The herbs in the sauce are perfect. The blend of seafood and cheese just all melts in your mouth. I can’t wait to go back and get another one! Definitely a spot to return again!

We had to visit this perfect little restaurant especially since we were within walking distance while staying at Pineapple 🤮 Resort. Everything at Mama’s, I'm pretty sure, is better than anything at Pineapple! We saw mama cooking and preparing our meal herself, all fresh ingredients in her nice, clean kitchen. All her dishes are homemade, not frozen.
I didn’t take any pictures of our food but we ordered a pizza, Rasta pasta and some gnocchi. All were deeelish!!
The view, the setting, cleanliness, Mama’s ambiance, service and decor cannot be beat at this outdoor/open air restaurant. You won’t be sorry if you take some time for lunch here or an early dinner. She’s only open noon-5 pm, cash only. Happy Hew Year, MamaPasta!

Visited on Saturday 22 January with my family including two three year old grandchildren.
The proprietress was surly and rude from the outset and to be honest we would have moved on if there had been an alternative.(there isn’t one).
We waited ages for the food which was average at best when it arrived. Two of our party chose the seafood pasta and were violently sick that evening so all in all I would advise any prospective visitors to Long Bay to take a packed lunch as that is what we will be doing if we decide to return.

We discovered Mama's on a visit to Long Bay, and we liked it so much that we went back a second time. The pizzas and Italian pasta are absolutely delicious, and the service is attentive and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. You get a lovely view of Long Bay from the top of the stairs leading to the restaurant. Highly recommended!

Menu good
Lots to choose from with good portion size
3 stars was for drinks prices
Small bottles of beer were expensive
Also 10% added. I like to choose my tip not be told what it is

We went to Mama Pasta twice while we were hanging out on Longbay Beach. What an amazing view! The restaurant is beautiful. The food was delicious, especially the pizza and handmade pasta. Mama and Cecil made us feel welcomed and had a great sense of humor. We are so glad we found this place.

Never treated so rudely. There is a foot washing station at the beach entrance to the restaurant. We dunked our feet in to wash off the sand , and a blonde older woman started yelling at us to STOP! Not believing I heard her correctly, my husband and I walked inside while the owner ignored us. (The restaurant was empty and had just opened). My husband asked her if she had a garbage can for a bottle we had. She said you must throw that away on the beach and then began ranting and raving about everyone bringing their garbage from the beach. I told her she lost our business and we walked out

We recently stayed at Pineapple beach club...ventured here for lunch as I had read some reviews . 1st time we attempted was not sure if it was open I could see life in the kitchen and one of the beach vendors suggested to go ...I found the gate a bit challenging with green fencing keeping it closed . I finally got through only to me shushed away with a hand.
So we tried another lunch time and the green (security fencing was gone) . Making our way to the bar to order again shushed away go find a table.We sat down and waited could see some diners with food but the table beside us said they waited a while to be served . Head back up just to get beverages and success 4 Waddadlis in hand and waited again no one came. We ended up taking our bevvies and heading back to PBC.
Mamas don't ever shush business away .

Wow! We made a pit stop here on our way to Stingray City. We only had time to order a takeaway pizza for the ride, but chatted to the lovely owners while it was in the oven. Long story short: Best Pizza EVER! Mama is Italian and it knocked our socks off! Add to that a fabulous, chill carribbean vibe and delicious rum punches with fresh grated nutmeg on top - this is what my holiday dreams are made of.
We desperately wanted to go back, but were staying on the other side of the island, so sadly, next time. We're still talking about that pizza.

Was staying nearby at PBC and figured we'd give a local restaurant some business. Tried to go twice but no one was working. Finally someone was there on the third trip!
We ordered pizza and wings. Food was good (albeit a tad overpriced) but we were just happy to get off the resort and see some of the Wilkies.
Cecil was so nice and chatted our ears off! I could have sat up there all day with the views drinking Wadadli beers all day...
