Could be one of the best brunch place in Taipei. It’s in a distant small alley in Neihu but still worth the travel. Also get impressed by the amazing “Queen Breakfast”. Portion is huge if only shared by two. Every ingredient is very healthy and...fresh! They also serve good coffee that you don’t want to miss. This place have become so popular that it’s hard to get a table. We were early birds came at 8am just for the food. Totally worth it and happy to do it again.More

Chanced upon this australia style cafe serving breakfast and brunch. Nice quality and service that matches with the others in taipei like diner, m one and oma deli. Sadly it’s a small group

Location: in the back alleys close to the mountain, come to have a bite if you have a) have time and b) are going for a hike. Food: portions are small, takes forever but the food and the coffee with almond milk, a rarity in...the city, are great. Awesome presentation. A solid western breakfast choice in Neihu neighbourhood. Service: slow but friendly Price: medium high for TPE standards.More

Went The Antipodean for an event, and I have to say that I was well-impressed. Decor is great, food good (sausage rolls... what’s not to like?!) and a selection of drinks that satisfied me, even though the bar list is not extensive. But what made...The Antipodean stand out for me was the waiter who greeted me when I arrived and served me a few times during the evening. This bloke made me feel welcome, took time to explain how to order and came back to me some time after realising that he’d given me incorrect info to apologise and update me with the facts. If I owned a cafe, this would be the first waiter I would be poaching. Head and shoulders above the norm in Taipei.More

Traveling from Tianmu to this fine eatery in Neihu, we covered some distance but the food and drink we enjoyed there made the travel worthwhile. The brunch menu at The Antipodean features lots of wonderful food options, including a smoked salmon salad with avocado, baked...egg with avocado, grilled cheese with ham, and a la carte ordering of individual components you might combine for breakfast, like eggs, hashed browns, sausage, toast, etc. The coffees were strong and flavorful, and tea choices abundant. Service was a tad slow on Sunday morning at 10:00, although it was friendly.More

The Antipodean - meaning related to Australia or NZ; or a person from Australia or NZ. It’s our first visit to this place after looking at reviews on Hungry in Taipei. The cafe is a little off the city centre and a bit of a...walk from the nearest train station, however we made the trip due to good reviews and pics by a previous patron. We were the first customers of the day and ordered lattes and the Sharing Platter (not on the menu). It’s a mish-mash of hot and cold items on a serving board (see pic). The roasted tomatoes were nice and sweet and the eggs cooked sunny-side up was orangy and runny. Perfect! Baked beans and mushrooms were normal and the haloumi cheese a bit different to what I’m used to. While I enjoyed the bircher muesli, the yoghurt was just alright. The coffee was nice and strong. Service wise, they were prompt and polite and we never had any issues. The cafe is simple and yet tastefully done up. Price wise, the Antipodean is definitely on the higher side. Check out the pics and go try for yourself to see if you like it! 😎More

We heard about this being a good spot for brunch and we are glad we tried it. It's down a side street in Neihu and we almost missed it. It has a nice, small balcony with seating outside but we sat inside as it was...raining. The decor inside is very nice and well thought-out. We tried eggs Benedict plus the vegetarian breakfast. The avocado was great and both dishes were really good. The coffees were great, although they could have been warmer. We took home some good lemon cake and enjoyed that as well. I'd say the brunch at Wooloomooloo is better but this is a good Neihu alternative.More

So glad to find this place in Taipei where they serve proper Flat white coffee. Love their Açai bowl, full of fresh fruits, it's not only healthy but yummy! I will definitely visit here again to try their brunch.

I came here to meet up with my best friends. It's not that hard to find from Gangqian MRT station, it's a 15minutes walk from the station. You'll notice the store from their famous kangaroo sign. The menu was simple, not many choices for light...foods, but a lot of choices of coffees. I ordered the "surprise me" coffee, basically, the barista will make a coffee based on your preferences. The barista made a black coffee with a lemon hint and surprisingly it's very good! Their smoked salmon with sourdough bread is my favorite light meal there. And acai bowl is perfect for Taiwan's humid weather. Their classic breakfast's hash brown is something to obsessed about. The service is very good, super friendly! For price wise, it's a little bit expensive, but the experience you get will make it worth it.More
