Not sure if they’ve been here since the 60s like the signboard but it sure looks like it Small (and old and crumpled) menu with noodles and a few side dishes. I had the clear broth one. It was ok with somewhat tender beef I...ordered a coke and the staff told me to get it on my own from their old and dirty fridgeMore

This place serves one of the best braised beef noodles in Taipei. My family thought that the braised beef noodles was spicy but found it to be kinda sweet. This place is in Da’an area and you can check out Da’an park after. There was...a queue when we got there but it moves quite past. They have two floors so they can accommodate a good number of patrons. You order by filling up an order sheet and they will serve you the food. Service is fast and price is reasonable. Their servings can be quite large. For a party of 4, we ordered two large bowl of noodles and a spareribs. Enjoyed it.More

Local Taiwanese favorite specializing in noodles and dumplings. You only need to see the line (queue) outside to tell how good the food is — try the beef noodles and anything else on the limited menu. The staff speak English and menus are also with...photographs and English descriptions. Ideal for solo diners or small groups who like to share. Good value for moneyMore

What a wonderful surprise! I didn’t expect to find that the beef and noodles I would have here would be the best I had in all of Asia! Fantastic!

The famous Beef Noodles at YongKang, in the Da’an district in Taipei. Still fabulous despite the years gone by. Beef and tendon are “melt in the mouth” soft and tender, noodles are springy, soup must be finished to the last drop. NT$310 No pics of...the food. Started eating and forgot about the photo :)More

Back to this restaurant after years as my family heard about it and wanted to try. The queue was not long when we were there. Broth was better than last time I visited, beef was tender and well seasoned. However, it was so pricey, $300...for a small bowl. What a price!More

There was a short queue, but we managed to get in after about 15 minutes, sharing a table with another couple. The male boss was very friendly when collecting the money at the end, but we noticed that some customers had difficulty in getting the...female staffs' attention, perhaps as the shop was busy. We ordered the braised beef noodles, and the clear soup beef noodles. Both were just okay, to be honest. We had tasted better at other places in Taipei. Portions were generous though, and we did not finish our bowls. The clear soup version was our preferred choice, and you can ask for tendon with your beef as well.More

The food here is as good as I remembered it when I first tried it out 5 years ago. Place looks the same. Beef noodles still taste just as good. One thing that they need to work on is probably how they maintain cleanliness in...the establishment, since it’s quite pricey, I do expect that they will keep a certain level of cleanliness. Nonetheless, their food here is just as enjoyable.More

It was OK. I would not go back, but glad I went. Get the small, not the large. We arrived at 10:40 for 11 am opening. About 10th in line. 60 people by the time it opened.

Went for dinner during our most recent Taiwan trip, for someone that grew up in Taiwan but moved overseas, this is a spot that hits you with all the feels of being back home.

Pretty much the best braised beef noodle soup in the country - in fact, it's in the name. I've found one other place that was just as good but not better. Braised beef noodle soup is practically the national dish of Taiwan, so this is...not a small honor. Just go, you won't be disappointed.More

After arriving 6:00am in Taoyuan Airport on the red-eye flight and dropping our bags off at our hotel, it was time to find our first dining experience. Saving our appetite for the famous Yong Kang Beef Noodles for early lunch, we headed towards Da’an District...and found a very non-descriptive restaurant front with faded store front sign in white background with red and black Chinese characters above a English sign in bright yellow with red letters. As we waited in line for the first seating, we saw taxis, share rides, tourist vans, and cars dropping off folks after folks. Before the store even open the queue was 60 folks long. Ambience: The restaurant was filled with 14 tables with 56 folks packed elbow to elbow. I felt like a sardine. The place really needed a good paint job; the paint on the walls were peeling. The air conditioner was in needed of replacement. Food: My wife choose the Stewed Beef Soup and I chose Dan Dan Noodles. Stewed Beef with Noodle Soup - rich deep concentrated broth. Wow after first sip. Beef was tendered. The noodles were perfectly a denta. The green onions add a zing to the noodle soup. Dan Dan Noodles with Sesame & Peanut Sauce - the sauce was rich with sesame oil and peanut flavor. Again the noodles were a denta. This dish is ideal for vegetarians. Service: The 8 wait staff have limited English. We got in early on first seating, but we were the last table of 14 tables to be serve because our waitress had to repeat our order three times for our table of 8. There are only 9 dishes on the menu (each dish came small or large) We came for the food and we had GOOD NOODLES GOOD SOUP ... at Yong Kang Beef Noodles.More

Generally regarded as another of Taipei's foodie must-try restaurants (it's listed in the Michelin guide), we our way there as many tourists must have done previously. Located only a single subway stop away from the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial, it's not hard to find as...there's usually a queue outside waiting to get in. There certainly was one the day we visited, and it took us about twenty minutes to get in for a late lunch. We were shown to our tables (or rather pointed towards it), and got settled into our stools. The restaurant's certainly fairly basic in decor, so don't epect any frills. We ordered two different versions of the beef noodles - the signature saucy one as well as the soup-based one. The beef used is Australian in origin, and the chunky pieces were tender to the bite. However, I did find the saucy version a little too oily even though I preferred it to the soup-based bowl. We also tried their steamed pork spareribs and steamed pork intestines which, while tasty, probably wouldn't count as one of my favourites. Nevertheless, prices were affordable, and it was worth trying.More

I visited Yongkang Beef Noodle (永康牛肉麵館) in Taipei, Taiwan in mid Feb., 2020. This restaurant had been around for several decades. The seating was very casual and customers often shared tables. The service was average. The menu was simple and clear. I ordered a beef...noodle with beef tendon and beef. It was a bit spicy for me but the flavoring was good and typical. The Steamed Pork Intestine with Rice Flour was disappointing. The rice grain was unusually large and insufficient. The flavoring was below average. This restaurant was overrated.More
