The food was not tasteful and the quality was very bad. The food we order was completely different than the description. The personel was very polite and the grill meet was the only that we could eat. We will never visit this restaurant again.

I am a fan of this place, strong local atmosphere and supposedly local products BUT the family who owns it does not pay attention to the service or is overwhelmed by the number of customers. Abrupt manners, indiscreet friendliness, order coming in random order (drinks...in the end, cold plates). Also, relatively pricey, 70 euros for a family of 4. Lot's of potential, needs some attention.More

Like many other reviews, the location and is beautiful. This, we fully appreciated, and the staff were nice. This is the only reason we’re not giving 1/5. The food was just so disappointing. The rusks were soggy, our appetizer tasteless as well as the pistitsio....I was amazed that the menu said ‘grilled sausages with lemon sauce’ and all that arrived was one dry overcooked sausage with undercooked fries, and piece of lemon. No sauce?!?!? Yeah... if you want to come for the location, just get a beer here.More

The service was a joke, hilarious about 1 hour to order and 1 hour for the food to come. We went at 21:00 the food came at 23:10. Discrimination between tourists and locals was made and in general the food was okay not something great...that you expect from a family tavern in a village. The atmosphere though and the place of the tavern it’s a Greek summer experience. Although NOT RECOMMENDING AT ALL.More

We have a summer house in Paros and like to think that we are experts on the island, so when a friend told us about Charoulas Tavern, we couldn’t understand how we could have missed such a great place all these years. After one visit,...I know why. The place is beautiful. This is the old-times, traditional Greek village at its best. Nowadays it’s very rare to find this kind of taverna: tables on the village square, very picturesque, under large trees, with a cool breeze and a sea view. But the food was a major disappointment. Being a large group, we ordered a lot of different plates (whatever we could find, anyway, because half of the things on the menu were not available), but nothing was good. Some were inedible (like the kolokithokeftedes), others simply indifferent. I am Greek and I can tell you that this is not what these dishes are supposed to taste like. Such a shame, because the location is amazing and the staff were nice.More

The closest to an old-time taverna on Paros, a real neighbourhood place. We just came in for frappes on this occasion last August but I've been there in previous years, very homestyle. Check out the photos near the cash register -- not to be missed.

Great food, nice and colorful surroundings, good level of service. We will get back, I cannot understand the bad criticism. Everything was really fine, all plates were delicious.

Very nice tavern in the sleepy little village of Marpissa. Good for some traditional Greek food and beer.

A friendly, casual tavern where we enjoyed delicious food with rich flavours. We were treated with scrumptious desert free of charge upon paying the bill. The owners are so lovely and we appreciated the personal touch. An authentic greek experience!
