Called down for Sunday lunch here. Tried to make a reservation but the front section of the restaurant was booked out but we got seats out the back no problem, in a nice comfortable booth. Service was really good here, prompt, efficiently and friendly without being over bearing. We shared a bowl of wings for starters and whilst they were... More

Pleasant ambiance, service very good even though the place was very busy. Three of us had hake and champ that was excellent. The other member of the party had pizza that was undercooked, otherwise this would have been a five-star review. All four desserts were very very good. I plan on eating there again next time I'm in the area.

What a find! Roaring fires, great Guinness (the best we had in a week-long trip) and beautifully-cooked food. Staff were helpful and efficient and it was great value. What's not to like?! We had a wonderful time.

Just back from my second Sunday lunch in this establishment in two months. It was a cold, sleety February day but we received a warm welcome from the very pleasant waiting staff. The room where food is served had two roaring open fires, which were regularly topped up. We had two courses of the three course lunch menu and were... More

I was very disappointed as we had heard rave reviews! The starters were okay but didn't include all the ingredients listed on the menu. The mains were poor as the monkfish was overcooked and served on an inedible rosti swimming in , what tasted like, last month's chipper oil. My wife's main was simply mean. The service was okay but... More

I visited The Ballymore Inn under recommendation from many friends. There was a wait for a table in the bar (which I didn't mind, as I hadn't booked and it was a Saturday evening). When we were seated, the staff were all very friendly, took time to discuss the menu and food was served promptly. We ordered a large chicken... More

Ballymore Inn is the place to go if you want a friendly no hassle environment, welcoming staff and great food at not too high a cost. Four of us ate here last weekend and had a beautiful meal. Atmosphere was very welcoming and staff excellent. Highly recommend
