We went to "Bella Vista" on Sunday for lunch, a second time after several years. I retained the memory of a good restaurant, perhaps a little expensive. After some time, I confirm the first impression: refined and carefully prepared dishes, extremely kind staff. The menu is not huge, especially for the starters, but worthy of a gourmet restaurant. For what we tested, the pumpkin and bacon appetizer, the "cabbage" risotto (perhaps a little too al dente) and the confit guinea fowl leg with black lentils and star anise deserve praise. The dessert was also stellar, a chocolate dome with a heart of chestnuts, hazelnuts and salted caramel. A menu that all in all respects the season, which is still cold this year in particular. In our opinion, the price is a little too high, especially in relation to the lack of generosity of the dishes which, although excellent, risk making the customer leave hungry.
The location is always amazing, with a view that extends over Lake Como below. The road to get there is challenging, one can only hope not to encounter anyone from the opposite direction. The surroundings are magnificent and very green, ideal for a post-prandial walk.

Last night we went to this restaurant and we were delighted: we took the seven-course tasting menu, and each dish was studied down to the smallest detail and built on home-made ingredients.
We were pleasantly surprised by the very generous portions for a tasting menu (1 starter, two first courses, one second course and three desserts).
All the staff welcomed us with warm enthusiasm, telling us their story: the owner prepares the bitters every year, delicious!
All framed by a breathtaking view, which made everything even more magical.
I warmly recommend going there!!!

The restaurant had been recommended by our host. Veleso is a village perched above Lake Como. Access is not so easy but no problem to park though. The view from the beautiful terrace of the restaurant is remarkable and the atmosphere very friendly. The cuisine is certainly of high quality but it is not a gastro and all this remains rather expensive. Dessert of any menu and without originality and that is a shame!

Visiting from Australia - we had one of the best culinary experiences ever, Ristorante Albergo Bella Vista ticked all the boxes. Location, sensational views and the food was some of the most delicious food we've ever eaten. I'm still thinking about the Tortelli di Toma - Con salsiccia stufata in creama di tartufo nero (Tortelli filled with cheese with sausage and truffle sauce) WOW!
The host, was so accommodating, insisting we have a table on the terrace, extremely thoughtful. Highly recommend, wonderful experience.

Booked dinner three days in advance. Arrived early to enjoy views. Booked in with the chef but then pretty much ignored until the reservation time, and then, unbelievably, for 30 minutes past the reservation time, only being asked to move tables to make room for other diners . Unbelievable behaviour!
Eventually we went to kitchen to find out what was happening and Chef Paulo just smirked! We just left we were so upset!
We are a mixed race couple and our conclusions about this chef just leave a bad taste in our mouths (pardon the restaurant pun!). So sad there are still people like this in modern Italian society . Avoid.

Not sure what to say..... Booked dinner 3 days in advance on some good reviews. Arrived a hour early as we were a little worried about the drive up there but was only slightly hairy. So far so good. Said hello to chef and team and sat on restaurant veranda with a glass of wine looking at the lovely view. Then weird stuff...Completely ignored right up to booked table time, and then still ignored 30 mins past our booked table time. Everyone around us being seated at tables and served. Eventually we asked chef as to the reason we were not being seated or served. No reason given.... just smirked! We were so upset we just left. Can't comment on the food since we didn't get any and we still dont know why!
Never had this happen in all my 58 years of fine dining at excellent restaurants. Appalling attitude and service which ruined a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime stay at the lake, with lovely locals.
Still angry now. Absolutely not recommended

After reading several positive reviews about the restaurant, we came especially for dinner! What a surprise! A wonder for the taste buds...
From starters to desserts to dishes, we were amazed by the quality, originality and flavor of each dish.
The presentation is superb, in beautiful dishes which adds a high-end side.
Added to that, excellent service, neat and attentive.
This restaurant and its young chef really deserves a distinction and I wrote to the Michelin Guide to recommend it ... hope it will bear fruit.
In the meantime, even if the road is steep, whether for the view and for the quality of what we eat there, do not hesitate and go!!!

This is the best restaurant for us within 30 km of Lezzeno. There are other restaurants directly at the lake, but their food is not as good.
If you want a really beautiful view with exceptionally tasting Italian cuisine, then this is the place to go.

The setting, with a magnificent view of the lake at sunset, was simply magical. The dishes were delicious, we dined there twice.
The hosts were very friendly and caring.
It is an ideal place for a romantic dinner or a peaceful getaway. I highly recommend it!

I found this place through Trip Advisor and couldn’t be more pleased.
Paolo, the chef, was so accommodating when we had to alter our reservation. We sat outside where there is a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. The food was nothing short of spectacular from beginning to end. Presentation, quality of ingredients, and flavor profiles worthy of Michelin consideration; criminal to ignore this place.
Take the winding road up the mountain and treat yourself to an unforgettable experience.
