On my last visit, I said good fish but terrible chips that felt old and soggy and questionned the oil. Nothing has changed but the fish this time wasn't much better, a thin piece with too much batter. The potato scallops were similar - small pieces with too much batter and over cooked. For those who like good fries, would... More

Wahoo has a fine fish and chips take-away section but when possible, the restaurant should not be missed, certainly not. The seafood offerings are invariably of very good quality and inventive presentation. For a seafood restaurant , a Kilcoy beef morsel if also available and it is to be highly recommended.

We had dinner there twice while holidaying at Peregian Beach and both times the meal was outstanding and the service exceptional, thanks to the lovely lady ( Sue?) looking after us. The menu was interesting and left you debating what to have and you are not disappointed in what you ordered. The outdoor seating was lovely and even though the... More

One of the better takeaway fish and chips I've had in a LONG time! We chose the meal for two which was PLENTY of food. Delicious chips and excellent calamari - not stringy at all. I appreciated being able to have one piece of fish grilled and the other crumbed with no extra charge - how refreshing! The fish was... More

Al fresco dining near the beach. Magnificent fresh mussels, swimming in a garlicky buttery broth garnished with spring onions, or try the freshly shucked oysters kilpatrick as an entree. Pick from grilled crumbed or battered snapper, barramundi or salmon as your " fish and chips" with a Greek salad or be adventurous and order any of these fish in a... More

We stopped here for a quick lunch and were really pleased with the friendly service, super tasty food and pleasant atmosphere close to the beach. The fish tacos were very tasty, the calamari was brilliant and the chips were crisp, golden and salty - just perfect. To top it off, they offered the fish tacos with a glass of wine... More

We were getting a little tired of the regular old Aussie style seafood i.e. Deep fried everything with a side of deep fried something else. We went here and loved the food. They are very creative with all their dishes and it let's the actual flavour of the seafood come through. I recommend the lightly spiced fish, spring rolls, mussles,... More

Located on the Sunshine Coast in the lovely shopping village at Peregian Beach, Wahoo Seafood Restaurant and Takeaway has been providing great food to the area for nearly 13 years. You can dine in at our restaurant overlooking the square or under the majestic pandanus tree, and select from the many lovely lunch or dinner options. The a la carte menu changes with the seasons but we like to keep many of the customer favourites ... and we serve more than seafood. Our takeaway is constantly busy serving the popular: a variety of fish, calamari and chips. Our customers absolutely love the Barramundi spring rolls and the tasty homemade fish cakes. Many people purchase their food and have a picnic in the lovely Peregian Square. BYO or select from our wine list.
