Simple italian food done right, it reminded me of our trip to Italy prior to the pandemic!! Hats off to this place!

They offer three different seating times (at this phase of the pandemic). Social distancing maintained. Service was attentive and friendly. All dishes were served piping hot! The mussels in a spicy tomato sauce were delicious and good portion size. Chicken supreme was very tasty and...served on a bed of mashed potatoes. Ragu di carne was flavourful and topped with a bruleed cheese. It was a popular evening for motorcycles to be out which made it very noisy being on the patio by such a busy intersection. The food was great and we would go again.More

We will be back! Lovely restaurant with great service and food that will delight your taste buds. The mussels came in a thick and intensely flavourful tomato sauce. So good! The Casarecce Affumicato was delicious with it’s smokey flavour and came with ample bits of...smoked chicken, bacon and sun dried tomatoes in a white wine cream sauce. The Tartufo Funghi was equally tasty with a variety of sautéed mushrooms in a truffle oil and yummy goat cheese cream sauce. I “fibred up” to whole wheat pasta and both dishes were perfectly cooked el dente and all dishes were served piping hot. When the mains were first served I thought the portions might be a bit small. I was wrong. They use rectangular plates which just made it look like a bit less. I could hardly finish mine, but I did! The restaurant has a comfortable elegant vibe with dark woods and lots of natural light. Prices are reasonable, service is great and flavours are amazing. Can’t wait to try other menus items.More

My Wife and I celebrated a friend's birthday with another couple at Raffaele's Cantina. We had a terrific evening! The restaurant has great ambiance...Bravo on the wall lamps with real flame & classic jazz music in the background. We were welcomed, seated and hosted by..."Frank" who was amazing, knowledgeable and carried out unhurried service. He was attentive too, he knew about my friend's birthday and without being prompted, out comes a Tartuffo dish with a candle near the end. The starters and mains were very delicious. Just the right portion and temperature. For dessert, 95% of the selections were made in-house. Try the Tiramisu & the Peanut Butter & Nutella Cheesecake. Being the last ones to leave, we were genuinely and warmly thanked for spending the evening with them by, I believe, the owner which was a small but nice touch that stood out for us. Being an ex-Food and Beverage Manager in a few Toronto area hotels made me miss the industry and the experience that one can enjoy when in a restaurant such as Raffaele's Cantina.More

Had dinner at Raffaeles last week. The food was wonderful. This is a small restaurant on a very busy traffic corner but one doesn’t notice outside because the food is amazing. I had Pollo frangelico - baked chicken served in a creamy frangelico sauce, topped...with toasted pistachios. My husband had Caesar Affumicato - smoked chicken, bacon, sun dried tomatoes in a white wine sauce. Both dishes were excellent. About half of the tables were filled with families, as well as couples. There is no loud music but one can hear pleasant jazz. The service was wonderful, efficient, friendly and accommodating staff? We will return.More

Our family lunch was once again enjoyed by all. Every single dish was amazingly delicious. Incredible service from the staff to the Chef himself. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We made a reservation and still had to wait for out table. However let me tell you it was well worth the wait. The food was first of all very hot and the serive was first class. Well the 3R's club (Rest Rating Ring) is at it again. Four of us decided to test out Raffaelle's Cantina 5975 King rd. Nobleton. 905 859 4429. Good decision!!! All four of us were totally impressed with what we were served. From Funghi Affumicato and...Polenta Fritta for appetizers to spicy pizza, Spaghetti Ai Nduja (glutten free) and Squid Ink black Fettucine with scallops and more. The menu offers very special Italian offerings not often seen in other Italian establishments. The food was nicely plated and the service from Marika was full of entertaining exchanges. The owner, Louie, even helps out in serving the food. We should all be very impressed with this restaurants and we are. The only drawback could be the setting which is very basic pub type decor and bar. The wooden table are large enough but without tablecloth and with paper napkin wrapped cutlery. We ordered only one serving of dessert which was Pistachio Chocolate Tart and everyone of us were fighting for the last piece it was so good. So yes this is a lot better than a pub or a burger place which is what it was years ago. If you want very special Italian foods served by very engaging staff and dont mind the pub decor, get going its the real deal.More

We went for dinner on our anniversary and the staff made us feel very welcomed. The food was amazing and enjoyed immensely !! I would highly recommend it to all that are interested in an authentic Italian meal.

We stopped in for dinner during the week. Easy to get a table, had an opportunity to meet both father and son. The menu was fantastic, food delicious and would definitely go back.

Food is always fresh, always homemade. I have been going here for years & I highly recommend it. I love the pizza & the gelato is very good too. If you are looking for a casual dinner or lunch place, it is perfect. Family owned...& run. Staff is great as well!More

We went there for the first time in May for a birthday lunch. We were very pleased with the food, and the friendly service. My husband had the gnocchi alla vodka, which was very impressive. He loved it, and he's tough to please when it...comes to dining out. I settled for a margherita pizza and caesar salad, and again, delicious on both counts. I wish we could get take out pizza that was as delicious as this was. Definitely will return.More

We used to love Raffaele's and regularly brought friends from out of town there for their pasta with mushrooms, Our friends would rave about it. We were there a few weeks ago and, to our dismay, the dish had been removed from the menu! So...I decided to try the mushroom risotto, which was average and it didn't even come close to pasta with mushrooms. Why would they get rid of something that was so well-loved by their patrons. And they have also changed their caesar salad! The dressing didn't have a hint of garlic or anchovy. Instead, it tasted like a blend of mayonnaise, sour cream, and lemon. What a huge disappointment. I hope its a temporary problem and things will return to normal soon. I will check their website to see if they have put the mushroom pasta dish back on it. If not, I doubt we'll return. The service wasn't terribly friendly either.More
