This was my previous review:- Reviewed 13 October 2014 Great quality, service & value Every year we visit a number of pubs/inns/restaurants on our holiday in the Lakes. From previous years we know that the Kirkstile Inn is at least one of the best. Before...More

The food is very good and was delivered quickly. All the food was good, no complaints about it at all. It's good for a special meal out, but not for everyday dining.

Sandwiches should hardly challenge but the nice presentation/garnish and a cople of different own-brews made for a v satisfactory lunch.

Fantastic village pub set within the stunning scenery surrounding Loweswater. Spent several evenings here enjoying the food and ale last summer - highly recommend.

We arrived after a long day walking and would have ideally like a traditional pub dinner, scampi, cod and chips something simple with a kids options but the food was of a restaurant menu so we just enjoyed a drink in the lovely garden.

That the Kirkstile Inn at Loweswater was so booked up for dinner bears witness to its excellent food. Although a 15 min drive from our accommodation in Buttermere, it quite surpasses anything available in that quiet backwater. 5 of us had the fillet steak which...More

Still the benchmark amongst lakeland hostelries, excellent beers and a fine menu. Polite efficient staff always a plus and the no dogs rule deserves 6 stars! Lots of interesting ground for cyclists and walkers without.

Yes! Plenty of dogs around!
Hi there. We are coming for a family weekend next weekend and wondered if you show sports as the men in our group would like to watch the football after we go for a long walk.

Sorry, I do not know - my visit was only for an evening meal with the Lytham St Annes Choral Society after they had sung at a Carol Service in Cartmel Priory- on our way home to St Annes.
