Panamint Springs is in the middle of nowhere, and parts of the resort are a little run down. The restaurant howerver was quite good. I had fish and chips and my buddy had the steak. Fish and chips is always a gamble (I'm from SoCal coast where the fish is fresh) but it was very good. The steak was thick... More

After a 400 mile drive, it was great to enjoy the early evening warmth of this place. We sat outside and enjoyed decent food and a couple of beers. Slightly pricey, but it is wonderfully isolated, with a friendly atmosphere.

Our room # 7 was musty smelling and had little. TV trays flanking the bed. One old cane wood chair. Old blue indoor/ outdoor carpeting and an open closet with hangers. Bathroom also with TV tray, shower outer case rusted, needed to reach up to a handle above the shower head to turn it on, only one lower temp handle... More

We spent five days at the RV park here, and, after sampling the breakfast buffet the first morning, we were hooked! We ate breakfast and dinner there every day. The buffet includes the traditional scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, muffins, etc., but has a twist: because the resort routinely receives busloads full of European travelers, they serve scrumptious... The food on the whole is very good. We had three evening meals here and tasted the burgers, the pizzas and the salads. All three meals were very well cooked, nice fresh produce and very tasty. And a cheer for the apple pie that is delicious. A nice friendly place to eat, with a nice bar

Stayed at the RV parking lot for one night. Had dinner and a couple of beers at the Restaurant. Good choice of brews. Burgers were better than I thought they would be. Little expensive, but that is to be expected in the middle of nowhere. Fries were alright. Altogether a pleasant experience. The generator went out and we were in... More

This location is indeed remote, but really it's not! It's less than an hour from Lone Pine, so the high prices are only justified as a rip off! A chance to take advantage of travelers! We paid $15 for a small frozen pizza... Almost $15 for a frozen hamburger & fries! It was just not good! And..... To beat all,... More

Arrived for an early snack lunch and were welcomed very genuinely even though it was not quite 12 o'c. Had a good simple meal on the veranda watching the birds feasting on prickly pears. Would be especially nice in the evening for a beer as the sun goes down.

I didn't want to eat anything heavy as I was going up to see some vistas off road furher on up from Darwin Falls. So I ordered a basic burger. My server was Andrea and she was friendly as were some of the staff hanging out. Got there a half hour ahead of a tour bus. The burger was cooked... More
