What a great place to stop after hours of hiking/walking! I had the banana bread French toast and it was wonderful! We watched the sunrise in November (28 degrees brrr) at Mathers point then walked to the village. Food was great, restaurant was clean and pretty, service was great too!

This is a great restaurant in the El Tovar Lodge at the South Rim Village at the Grand Canyon. You can only make reservations by phone. Try to get a table by the window on the canyon side. Ask when you make your reservation. We had dinner. Lunch would be a good meal to try as it is pricey. Great... More

My daughter and I enjoyed eating here so much that we came back the next morning as well. I love a traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatos, toast and orange juice. It was all very good here and quite reasonably priced. $30 with tip for both of us. Up scale service!

Got lucky and got a window table for lunch. We all really enjoyed our meals and the service. The views from the restaurant are fantastic! Great way to start the day!

The dining room has very good food, however service can be very, very slow ,along with a long wait(the don't take reservations) on busy days. Avoid the time just after the train arrives to reduce wait(11:30 about) There is a canyon view through windows on the north side.

It is difficult to rate the El Tovar Dining Room. It is by far the nicest restaurant facility at the Grand Canyon and the service is good and friendly. We went there for dinner the 3 nights we stayed at the Grand Canyon. Don't forget to reserve well in advance if you want to be sure to have a table.... More

We had Thanksgiving dinner in the El Tovar and it was excellent. The service was great: friendly and quick. The food was excellent and we truly stuffed ourselves for the holiday meal.

The service is great, places is clean, food selection can accommodate anyone. I'm happy vegatarian, vegan options are available. I ate the stuffed portobello mushroom, rice, and spinach, it was AWESOME! Alcohol selection is available for those who drink. I drank lots water and herbal tea. The dessert menu was not for me with too much sugar, eggs, and butter.

The wonderful El Tovar Lodge Dining Room was thronged on Thanksgiving, but they had seen all this kind of thing before and had a good system in place. At 1:30 we put our name in and were told it could be more than a 90 minute wait, which gave us time to walk up and down the rim trail with... More
