What a treat to get to Phantom Ranch and be one of the few that stay there each year. Gorgeous views, cute original cabins from early 1900's, great food at the cantina, no cell service to be tempted, and day hikes with no traffic! NO,...More

managed to get a steak dinner for the night at the ranch, and it was quite excellent. Steak - perfectly grilled, fresh large salad, perfect backed potatoes with loads of sour cream, green beans. The entire meal was excellent - passed on the chocolate cake...More

I am a fussy vegetarian but I was very happy with the great basic but tasty food supplied to us. You have to keep in mind that this place is a little like a space station in how remote it is from the rest of...More

We hiked down South Kaibab to camp at Bright Angel, so we visited Phantom Ranch for a nice, cold beer. It was awesome and well worth every penny! :-) Plus, how many people have had a beer at the bottom of the Grand Canyon??

This particular visit the Steak dinner was a little lacking. My steak was seared on the outside and medium rare on the inside, obviously cooked on a high heat. So I had a bit of the burned meat flavor, along with the juicy meat flavor...More

We stayed here while doing the overnight Mule ride, our cabin was clean and comfy. Food was delicious, just a little rushed. Fantastic walks around, loved it.

The costs is more like $500 each, less if you book multiple people as then you share a cabin. I've done it three times now and loved it each time! I know people have booked these just a few months in advance but to ensure... More
