Historic place in Abetone. Sunday lunch, very long waiting times. Excellent first courses and focaccia that they bring together with bread, too bad for the desserts, which had a great face but proved a little tasteless. Fair prices.

We went for lunch today!
Great great food (I'm a chef),
The lady at the checkout was very friendly.
You order, you find a table, they clean it for you, they get rid of it for you and you sit down and they give you an electronic bell... so when it's ready you go and get your plates!

La comanda parte dal palmare nello stesso istante dell'ordine per finire in cucina, la cucina è organizzata con piatti per la maggior parte già cucinati come si può capire leggendo il menù. Altrimenti per poter mangiare spezzatino di cinghiale di cervo ,di capriolo o arista porchetta, filetto in crosta roastbeef, verdure brasate cipolle al forno, e potrei continuare (ma basta andare a leggere il menu on line) si dovrebbero aspettare alcune ore di cottura. Come la polenta circa 40 minuti . Mentre i primi piatti sono tutti di pasta all'uovo fresca di nostra produzione che cuociono in un minuto . La invito a venire a mangiare all'interno al tavolo numero 3 davanti alla cucina che è A VISTA per accertarsi di persona se i piatti sono già pronti stile mensa prima di scrivere cavolate. Per i ravioli dal gusto strano ci piacerebbe sapere di più :ossia quali ravioli erano ?Perché vede il raviolo semplice ricotta e spinaci nel giorno in cui scrive non era in menù, magari era un raviolo di funghi che ha il ripieno di funghi e ricotta, oppure quello rosa che ha il ripieno di ricotta e barbarossa, oppure quello verde con il ripieno di noci e ricotta oppure come da foto ha mangiato un tortello che è ripieno di carne e verdura. We drove couple hours to this “restaurant” to eat, waited 30min to be seated but never got chance to sit. “Manager” who doesn’t know how to do his job sited everyone, except us. When we asked to explain sitting system, he couldn’t answer, because he doesn’t speak any different language. DISAPPOINTING PLACE

Cute little restaurant and café. Very easy to get to from the slopes. You can grab an amazing lunch for under €10 in a very quaint, cozy setting or you can stop in for a café and cake in between the two runs. Highly recommended. Probably feels amazing, cute atmosphere and nice local people.

La Casina is the perfect little place for a delicious lunch and coffee after a long day skiing. The food is excellent, the service is fast and its a real authentic tuscan "trattoria." The only downside to the place is that it can get a bit crowded and loud, the only reason why I didn't rate it excellent.

At the top of a pass with a carpark with a wonderful view a helpful traffic policeman suggested this place for a brunch. Local were there in a good number. Had polenta and mushrooms that was superb. A little off the beaten track but worthy of a visit in its own right
