Great to stop by as its next to the bay with a beautiful view. Next to the highway easy exit and parking. Can sit outside when sunny, but plenty of tables inside. Free water, bread and butter but no wifi. U can choose from whole bunch of salmon varieties, cold hot, soup as well but nothing else what makes sense... More

Laxbutiken is a good place to stop for lunch or dinner when traveling with family. It's hard to find decent food on the road in Sweden other than the fast food chains. Laxbutiken manages to serve good salmon dishes efficiently and in a fresh and spacious setting. I wouldn't go here for a proper seated dinner but if you want... More

You can choose to buy to-go salmon items at the right counter or to order from their menu (some 10 dishes) on the left counter. We tried several options and all were fresh and accompanied by tasty sauces etc. Indoor and outdoor seating with bay view. Don't arrive to late as they close at 19:00

Come hungry! Marvelous menu with lots om salmon varieties. We have tested many and we have never been disapponted. I especially like the soup. Modern, big restaurant. Beautiful location a short distance from the road. Affordable prices. There is good ice cream right next to Laxbutiken. I tried the interesting flavor red beet with pepper and ginger...😊

We thought we'd made a wrong turn but then spotted it below the petrol station. We arrived late (within 30 minutes of closing) on a very damp grey June evening, knowing that it was salmon and more salmon. After a little conversation with the helpful young staff we realised that it was cafeteria style. Collect a tray order your mains... More

Not the place to go for a hamburger! But for every variety and preparation of salmon it is a must. The soup is fantastic. Choice of cafateria style restaurant or fixed price buffet. And a shop for buying salmon to take home if that isn't enough .....

We always stop here to eat on our way from Oslo to Malmö 4-5 times a year. Never been disappointed . Always friendly, convenient and great food if you like salmon.

Laxbutiken serves excellent food. The outdoor patio overlooks the ocean bay, but the indoor facilities, though nice and fresh, are a bit boring in the winter. A little bit pricey for a weekday lunch, ca SEK130, but definitely worth it on more special occasions.

We are living in Denmark but have family in Oslo. So on our way through Sweden we always take a pitstop at Laxbutikken. The food and service is good. We have never tried the icehouse, but it looks very nice!
