If you are in the region of Carrapateira/Bordeira (beautiful beaches), then this is the restaurant for you. It is very big (outside and inside areas) and gets very busy. Have only been there in off-season and it is usually possible to find a table There is an extensive menu, including fish and meat dishes. All good food. Service is rather... More

We arrived after the published opening time for lunch and were told to come back in half an hour as they hadn't finished cleaning. We felt that they could have sat us down with a drink to wait. We returned having shopped in the village and had the Tourist Menu which was pretty good and also good value. Overall a... More

We arrived 12.30 and only two other tables were occupied so we got our order in early. We chose to sit on the open sided terrace under a tiled roof, rather than in the restaurant building. The waiter was excellent, speedily bringing coffee which we wanted to drink while waiting for our order. Both our meals were cooked from scratch.... More

Our favourite Portuguese restaurant. This is the only place where I order the same thing every time we visit, at least 3 times a year since 2003! We used to joke about how long it took for food to arrive but how it was totally worth the wait. Fried medium prawns in garlic and butter sauce like nowhere else, a... More

Unpretentious restaurant serving good ingredients cooked well. Enjoyed a lovely fish soup starter. Main course was a fabulous grilled turbot to share accompanied with potatoes and vegetables. On previous visits a local couple advised us to ask for punched potatoes which is not on the menu but they will always serve. This is flattened jacked potatoes with lots of garlic... More

We returned here twice during our visit to the region as the food was great and its located right next to the beach. We would recommend the grilled meat which comes with a large portion of vegetables. The atmosphere was laid back and the staff were friendly.

If you're a surfer or not,if you're hungry and want some great dishes , drive north of Sagres, the south western tip of Portugal where good old Sir Francis Drake had a field day attacking this town with two forts. It's about 20 minutes or so drive north to this restaurant which was highly recommended to us.Service is a little slow... Maybe we hit a bad day but tables were not cleared away and we had to wait nearly an half an hour to pay in a half empty restaurant. Maybe they will get better with practice.

Nice people, very good fish soup and wonderful sea bass (grilled). Worth to have one for 2, as portions are huge. After lunch we went for a walk along the river up to the ocean front. Lovely views!
