We had a superb meal. The service and the food were both perfect. We both chose fish dishes which were perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. The tables are spacious so you didn't feel too close to other diners.

My wife and I visited last weekend for our first time - we had been meaning to try here for a while. Ultimately it ticked many boxes - classy yet relaxed ambience , good food choice ( had Meat Loaf special & fish), efficient service...More

We had a delicious meal - we both chose fish. It was cooked to perfection, with a wonderful balance of flavours, and beautifully presented. I had a fillet of brill with pea purée and a potato and bacon ‘cake’. My husband had the special -...More

A party of 11. Seamless service, excellent food including dishes not on the menu but done by special request. Impressively high standards with a team who cannot do enough to help which all makes for a memorable evening.

A good middle of the road restaurant in a small village near the south Devon coast. Not open Mondays or Tuesdays. Set in an old school building it has a certain character and is worth driving those few extra miles to. Like most restaurants in...More

We came here after a recommendation and it was everything the reviews said. Cute, charming, historic and that was before the food. We had a prawn/crab starter to share- amazing, our mains were a mix of Mackerel, John Dory and Halibut with scallops. Amazing food,...More

We’ve eaten here before although not recently. The limited opening hours even in peak season mean booking well ahead seems to be the norm. The food was very good, well presented and with high quality ingredients. However it just didn’t make the same impression as...More

Had an excellent three course meal. Lovely sauce with our John Dory, only downside was that the menu said 'John Dory fillets' but they only served one without any explanation. Very good combination of salted caramel ice cream with our chocolate fudge cake. Ambience very...More

Two years ago we had a superb meal - see my review 9 July 2016 - so good that we went back a few weeks later with our adult children and were just as impressed. Unfortunately this evening's meal did not reach the same standard....More

They may well accommodate children, but it's not my idea of a family restaurant. It is very adult and sophisticated (I think almost pretentious). The menu is also not child oriented at all (although they might accommodate... More
