We spent 5 nights here and did the wine tasting in an unusual cellar that you climb stairs to get to. The wine and food served with the wines was excellent and it's certainly worth visiting just for the wine tasting experience. The welcome we received was first class.

We loved our stay at Casale Villarena We loved our stay at Casale Villarena! Their breakfasts were great, the restaurant is very good, our room was very nice, and the staff is very helpful. There was a free washing machine available, and a moderate walk down a steep hill to the beach was very invigorating. If you don't have a... More

We had emailed before to reserve a table with there being so many of us and they went above and beyond for us putting on a welcome Prosecco reception with a little tour of their vegetable garden with beautiful views over... We overnight end here on a walking holiday and it fitted the bill fine (hotel reviewed separately). Huge ham and cheese starter, nice main and decent wine. 2 courses each and a couple of drinks for €80. Cool setting too as aspect meant sun off site from 1700.

While staying at the hotel we had at least one meal at the restaurant every day. The food was excellent and the chef was happy to make anything whether on the menu or not. We would certainly recommend a visit.
