Spend a little time checking out the history of the harbour then take the quick (1 minute ride) over this restaurant. We had a fantastic lunch here and crab cake salad was perfection. Good wine list and plenty of options.

We went for lunch and had cocktails and cokes while overlooking the waterfront. So good but service could have been more efficient and faster but we were a party of 10 so that may have been hard for them. The tuna was great and the...More

Stylish bar with infinity pool. Unfortunately they weren’t serving food when we visited due to building works but it was a nice spot to have a drink and look down on the dockyard.

Enjoyed a leisurely time. Had a tasty lunch with attentive service. The views are lovely. Bit pricey but we will surely return again.

The food and the service is pretty good. However, I do think it is slightly over priced. The restaurant provides a nice atmosphere (poolside). Once you have lunch there, access to the pool and cabanas are complimentary... that's pretty cool as well.

This must surely be one of the loveliest places to take lunch. The opportunity to sit and relax in the sunshine overlooking the bay and use a pool is unequaled. Accepting that there is a price to be paid, this is clearly met through the...More

Great spot for a great lunch. Shuttle to take you across from Pillars was fun. Wish we had realised that we could have stayed for the day and enjoyed the pool and view more! Take your swimming gear!

Description
It is hard to beat the elevated harbourside position of The Boom at Gunpowder House - a remodeled 18th century Gunpowder store - for a scenic dining venue. The outdoor covered dining terrace and bar are adjacent to an infinity-edged pool overlooking spectacular Nelson's Dockyard, creating a wonderful upscale setting to enjoy a delicious lunch. The Boom menu highlights fresh, locally sourced produce with seafood favorites such as Caribbean Fish Cakes and Lobster Salad but meat lovers will not be disappointed by the Truffle Aioli Steak Sandwich and Peppered Tournedos.
