The place looks really nice and the food is worth it! We had the daily specials and they were great The service was not that good. Our waitress (don't know the name, she had long brown curly hair) wasn't that fast. Maybe she did the best she can (because it was a littlebit busy) but there was no smile on... More

Nestled amidst "tourist trap city", this little gem is a lovely oasis. It is themed and decorated to pay tribute to the famous movie, "Papillon" which plays in a continuous loop on a little B&W TV. That being said, the place is small and cute with some French flair. The food was excellent! And the staff was great!

Reviewed Papillon last year, and wasn't that impressed. Very different story this year: the Poisson Rouge (tuna) was the best fish dish of our stay this year (perhaps ordered too many blackened groupers), and the chocolate lava dessert is also highly recommended. The aubergine (eggplant) dish from the vegetarian menu was also a good choice

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and great staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche and crab cakes... But the escargot in puffed pastry was our favorite appetizer. We had never had escargot so tender. Our entrees were the specials for the evening- the cowboy steak was very good, but the salmon over a smoked salmon risotto was stand-out scrumptious. Finished the meal with... More

Just got back from Aruba. Was there during Christmas week and had Christmas Day dinner at papillon. Had delicious red snapper which was fresh and tasteful. Service was good especially considering it was Christmas Day.

We loved that the menu and daily specials featured 'not the standard fare' we had been seeing. We had a very good venison dish, the grouper papillon was cooked to perfection. Great service. Cost wise....same as every place else on Eagle Beach...$25 / give or take and entree.

Have dined at this place twice last year and again this year and was not disappointed Love the escargot en grout and the duck and beef carpaccio, It is one of our staples when in Aruba not too fancy but always reliable.

Henri Charrière, one of the world’s most famous prisoners, would surely have had the time of his life at Papillon Restaurant in The Village, across from the Radisson Resort. Nicknamed Papillon because of the butterfly tattoo on his chest, he was the first convict to escape from Devil’s Island. Charrière’s thrilling, gripping autobiography has been the concept behind Papillon Restaurant.Papillon Restaurant’s menu reflects the Frenchman’s arduous journey to freedom: classic French dishes have been dusted with daring Caribbean flair and are a culinary journey for your taste buds. The spacious outside terrace is perfect for casual fine dining or one may enjoy the air-conditioned inside dining space.
