While we were walking around like two lost fools we came across this little place just as it was opening. The small table vendors that set up in the square in front of it were just arriving too! We were glad we happened to arrive early as by the time we left there were people waiting to get into the... More

I'll admit it - - I have pretty high standards when it comes to food. Papillon exceeded them. Especially for an island. The restaurant is cute from a decor standpoint, and our servers were efficient (the waitress was not warm, but very capable. The busboy was friendlier). But the highlight was most definitely the food. I started off with the... More

We had gone to Papillon a few years ago and remembered a positive experience. This time, we left very unsatisfied. It wasn't the food, it was the wait. We arrived at 7pm and ordered a cocktail, then ordered our entire meal shortly after. Everything moved pretty slowly, and our entrees showed up after 8:30!! What is most important to me... More

Always a good meal but not great. Consistent and that's a big positive since many aruba restaurants are inconsistent. We will return next year. You should try it when you're in Aruba.

While staying at the Radisson across the street, we found this gem of a restaurant. Good food, good selection, good service, good atmosphere and reasonable prices. We had dinner outside and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Definitely recommend.

This was my mom and I's first time in Aruba and we tried to eat at a different restaurant every night. This was her choice, she was convinced after seeing the menu. We both ended up ordering the surf and turf special ($42) - lobster tail, filet mignon, asparagus, garlic potatoes, with a honey something sauce drizzled over. TO. DIE.... More

Excellent location. Good food, reasonably priced. We sat outside and really enjoyed the Lobster Bisque.

Been there both times we went to Aruba and both times the food was wonderful! All the dishes were cooked to perfection and my wife loves the ambience ( as do I ).

Description
Henri Charrière, one of the world’s most famous prisoners, would surely have had the time of his life at Papillon Restaurant in The Village, across from the Radisson Resort. Nicknamed Papillon because of the butterfly tattoo on his chest, he was the first convict to escape from Devil’s Island. Charrière’s thrilling, gripping autobiography has been the concept behind Papillon Restaurant.Papillon Restaurant’s menu reflects the Frenchman’s arduous journey to freedom: classic French dishes have been dusted with daring Caribbean flair and are a culinary journey for your taste buds. The spacious outside terrace is perfect for casual fine dining or one may enjoy the air-conditioned inside dining space.
