It's been months since I crammed one of these into my mouth, and I'm still dreaming about it. From time to time, I find myself looking at airfare to Bermuda just to satisfy my now unquenchable craving. The incongruous combination of raisin bread, fried fish, tartar sauce and burn-your-face-off hot sauce is undeniably delicious, and utterly affordable by Bermudan standards.... More

It's not easy for visitors to find this local take-away only spot in a hilltop neighborhood behind Hamilton. Turn up the hill where the road sign changes from Marsh Folly Road to Palmetto Street. You can order the best fish sandwich in the world made your way to go. I loved mine on raisin bread with both tartar sauce and... More

So first I'll start off by saying I am very picky regarding my fish and tarter sauce. I've eaten many places and around the world and can never get the right mix of flavors. I've been hearing of Art Mel's the past few business trips and finally got my hands on this sandwich and let me tell you..... it is... More

These are the biggest, most delicious fish sandwiches you can ever have. They bread is fresh baked and the tartar sauce is signature. I'd suggest getting it on raisin bread with tartar, hot sauce and maybe cheese. They're just the best.

If you want to get away from the fancy places on the waterfront and have Authenic seafood at amazing prices block of time to come to Art Mels. The place is take out only with a simple but varied menu. The service is friendly and food is made to order. There was so many people coming in for the friend... More

Unfortunately, it's not easy to find but it's worth the effort. The fish sandwiches are humongous! One will easily feed two people with normal appetites. Using raisin bread must be a Bermuda thing, but they do give you the option of getting whole wheat bread. It's take out only so be sure you have a place close by in mind... More

Let's just say I drove 60mins there and back on a scooter (and it was NOT easy to navigate) and the sandwich was totally worth it. The bread was soft and delicious, the fish was fresh and covered in a tasty batter, and the other fillings perfectly balanced the sandwich out. The crinkle fries were pretty solid too. Highly recommend... More

I was a bit hesitant about the combination of raisin bread and fried fish but it was amazing! And HUGE! I split mine with a friend. If you can get there (it's definitely off the beaten track) it's worth it for something unique to Bermuda. It's take-out only so have a spot in mind to take your picnic to enjoy... More

we walked from Hamilton centre, quite a walk. Had a local guide us the last few hundred feet as it is quite hard to find. We ordered the fish sandwich with raisin bread and coleslaw ...and it was rather nice! And filing too.. We had to take it back to the hotel to finish off later! A local woman saw... More
