Went for supper at Brown Sugar. Very nice spot, very cozy. And the food was very tasty. Good selection of wine. However, it took over 45 min to get our food. We are used to Barbados slow service, but this was slow for such a classy joint. And no buffet. They advertise buffet, but none available. But still rated the... More

This restaurant is highly recommended, but we did not enjoy it. I had the flying fish, and I didn't like it at all. There were bones in it, and it had a fishy taste to it. My partner had the pork, and it was good. We were there for dinner, and I think the lunch buffet would be better. It... More

Brown Sugar is a place I stop at least once, every time I'm in Barbados. This was the first time I had the lunch buffet. As usual, service was very friendly and excellent. The all you can eat lunch buffet was traditional Bajan cuisine and very well done. Make sure you are hungry if you go because it's hard to... More

The food was delicious, be prepared for "island time" on service. The restaurant patio delivers the feeling of eating out of doors--which is great!

We like going to Brown Sugar. The fish is always good, no matter how you order it, and it is an easy walk from the Hilton, open on Sundays to boot. When all is said and done, it is that ice cream that keeps me coming back, and I honestly am not a desert person. If you come here you... More

Great Bajan restaurant near the Hilton & Radisson. Authentic food. Red snapper & bread pudding with rum sauce was excellent. Service was a little slow but we all need to chill because we're in Barbados, right.😊

Went here on a recent visit to Barbados. Your order can take up to 45 minutes to be served even if you are the first customers in the restaurant. The prices are for a 5* when actually it's about a 2 - 3*. Portions are average but are served hot, service is very very slow and not always with a... More

We were attracted by the good reviews the restaurant got and its Caribbean signature. The service is nice, the decor dated and the food disappointing. There was just too much salt in my dish - the seafood medley. What could have been a nice evening turned out to be a disappointment.

Our night out at Brown Sugar was one of the highlights of our trip. It was a real authentic Bajan family restaurant. The service was excellent - they were so incredibly nice - and the food was delicious, we loved everythimg we had. We had the best dessert of our entire trip here, the Bajan bead pudding! Absolutely delicious, we... More
