We had a very good time in La Mulata del Sabor. I really enjoyed the environment with walls full of pictures, very close from the plaza vieja! We had a pollo mulata and a Cuba libre coctail which were very tasty. Furthermore, I learnt the first steps of salsa! I recommande! :)

We enjoyed visiting this restaurant just off Plaza Vieja. The hostess was very friendly and chatty. The chicken was great. The atmosphere and decor was how I imagined Cuba would be - really fun! I would definitely go!

We enjoyed our stay at this sweet little paladar very much. We have been lucky to meet Doña Justina herself and she startet to entertain us while we have been waiting for our food what was excellent. Her pollo (chicken), what's the specialty of the house, was very tasty. Should we ever go back to La Habana, for sure we... More

If you share a desire to really connect with locals while in Cuba, please do not miss this restaurant. The proprietress, Hefa Justina, is a complete embodiment of the warmth and spirit of the Cuban people. Those who do not speak Spanish will get a warm embrace, a tasty meal, and a home-style experience. For those who do speak Spanish... More

I had the fried chicken and ate every scap. The food was well seasoned and very tasty. It came with lots of sides, but the portions did not seem over-zealous like other places, which I liked. (I hate wasting food, especially in a poor country) We also had some beer and were pleased that they came with frosted cold mugs... More

So happy we decided to come to La Mulata. It's not right on the beaten path, and not in many of the guidebooks, but was so worth it. Gotta get the chicken and mojitos, with enough rum to make you feel good after a couple. Justina, the owner, is also one of the warmest people we met.

The place looked clean and the stuff are very friendly. I've had the chance to meet up with la mulata twice and she recognised and called by my name the... More

After staying for some days at la habana, one local friend brought me to this paladar. Though we had to wait for the food, it was worth it, for the price the food was great, I asked for chicken and it was the best local food I tasted around, we also had a chance to know the owner and chat... More

Our experience is that it is very easy to find full meals in Cuba, but harder to get "a bite" of something at lunch time. When we came to La Mulata we had had a large breakfast a few hours ago, but our three sons were hungry again. The hostess kindly offered us grown ups to share an omelet while... More

This Paladar appears in all traveller's guides, as they proudly show at the entrance, but in fact I don't think it deserves it any more! Little place, not very clean, the food was nearly ok, but nothing special, just the typical three dishes you eat everywhere, and not so flavory or well cooked, not very fresh, normal price, normal quantity...La...
