We loved this atmosphere. The patio and restaurant was upscale and quaint at the same time. The owner was hospitable and showed us around as we waited for our taxi. Ge felt so bad about the taxi, he gave us a few drinks to enjoy...while we watched a talented jazz band do thier thing There is money from all over the world framed around the interior. That was fun. The food was great but the people are better!More

Food looked disgusting but it’s not the reason why I’m leaving this feedback. I was done “eating” and I was rolling a cigarette with tobacco (not smoking, just rolling and just tobacco). A very rude young waiter came to me and, in front of a...bunch of people I didn’t know, he told me it was illegal in Cuba (assuming/stating that I was rolling something else with a shocked face). Don’t know if it’s part of their/his culture being nosy and intrusive, but actually I don’t care. He was just very rude and inappropriate. Obviously, I won’t recommend this place to anyone but, if you go, be ready to get judged and feel uncomfortable. Kisses from Italy!More

The owners nephew works there and a few months ago a homeless person very smelly hangs out there. He negated to clean a table for me and mistreated me then. I said I would not return ever. But never say never, a few days ago...I returned to Contribute to the restaurants comeback. Today I saw the jerk again and in the traditional Cuban refugees way. He screamed from the top of his lungs as I was leaving ( I thought you weren’t coming back) I’m 55 years old with two back surgeries, and won’t jeopardize my back. Don’t go there for mistreatments, you get that at home. If he thinks I’m harmless the third in counter I’ll prove different. I don’t know why he’s picking the wrong guy.More

Our guide brought us here for lunch and it was without a doubt the best food we've had in Cuba. Tucked away in the suburbs, it's not ur typical touristic restaurant, but that's what makes it so special. The staff is very friendly, speak english...and were very attentive. The menu is set up for a 3 course style dinner/ lunch. We had the chicken soup for starters, the lobster for mains and the dessert was a slice of caramel flan with a scoop of ice cream. It was very tasty and was plated beautifully. They also accept credit cards, which is not very common in Cuba. The owner showed us his collection of money from all around the world, which was also really impressive. If back in Cuba one day, I will definitely eat here again.More

Ernesto a worker at the restaurant and apparently the owner backed employee, caters to the smelly homeless over me. For over 8 years daily coffee and croquettes on occasion, I regret the treatment rendered by Ernesto. (at the 137 ave 152 st location) I simply...requested to have the outdoor table cleaned up, and was denied with an attitude stating that he comes back and sits there. The smelly guy was at the sidewalk at the time. I don’t ever give a bad review, however this must be shared. There is a place 3/4 of a mile away (Rinoconsito Latino) I’ll be taking my money there from now on! Deeply insulted by this young mans treatment and facial expression when my simple request was answered. I took it personal.More

I came in here in early December with a group of seven operated by Friendly Planet. This is evidently one of the top restaurants in Havana. Many celebrities have eaten here over the years. There are pictures on the walls of celebrities posing with the...restaurant staff. There is a nice shaded patio area open to the outside with plants and an outdoor aquarium with turtles, which has a quaint, outdoor touch. The facilities are modern, clean, and well maintained. There are indoor dining areas as well. We ate here on a relatively cool, breezy December afternoon. The service was quick and friendly. While we were eating, there was an excellent band with two guys playing guitars and a woman singing traditional Cuban songs. She had a beautiful voice. The lead guitarist was a hardcore Jimmy Page fan and tried to imbue his word with a bit of rock and roll "edge" even when playing Cuban standards. One of the people in our group told the lead guitarist that the group reminded him of the Mexican trio Los Pancos. The lead guitarist took this as the highest compliment since he was an admirer of their work. You could tell the band really put their hearts and souls into their music. You could not have asked for a better interaction. For starters we had mojitos, Cuban bread and butter, a salad, and rice and beans. For the main course I had rabbit which was excellent. It did not taste like chicken. I would say it tasted like duck. It has more flavor and slightly more fat than chicken, which tends to be dry. The meal was very well done. All of the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. To finish we had Cuban coffee and flan for dessert. To get a feel for the laid-back vibe of this place listen to Donald Fagen's song "Florida Room." Keep up the outstanding work.More

Our tour guide, Katia- katiamanso@nauta.cu, took us to this place. It is a house, tucked away in a neighborhood, that is a 5 start restaurant. The best meal we had, very friendly staff and a fair price.

This place offers many varieties of food on a prix fixe menu. Start with soup (I had the pumpkin and it was delicious), then the main dish - I had pork, my friend had the rabbit and they were both so savory, tender and amazing....They put us in a very comfortable air conditioned room and we were truly able to cool off and enjoy ourselves. Highly recommend. Also, the caipirinha I ordered was perfect and refreshing.More

We were brought here for lunch by our driver and guide from Belver Havana Cuba Classic Cars (Miguel and May) This place was exceptional in both service and the meal. We started with a nice pumpkin soup and the entrees were grilled fish and excellent...grilled lobster tails with cold mashed sweet potatoes/pineapple side and black beans and rice. Followed by a nice desert of flan and ice cream. Such a peaceful and romantic lunch. All we can say is wow! One of the best meals on our trip. Wishing the owners and staff all the best in the future, we hope to return some day.More

This is anther wonderful Cuban experience. The restaurant is small but the food was outstanding. It is another palandar (privately owned restaurant) that is in the home of a family. I would highly suggest this place.
