3 stars for the history. Otherwise, it's just another tourist trap. It's way too crowded and full of foreigners (ok, myself included). So difficult to get the bartender's attention. The mojito was expensive (5 CUC if I remember correctly) and just ok. We grabbed ours and left the bar to enjoy them outside. It's one of those places you have... More

We went because it's one of those places you go to. There was a cruise ship in and it was so busy but we persisted and the crush of people passed after about ten mins. I felt I ought to have a Mojito and watched the bartender practice his art making about a dozen at a time. Sadly not the... More

La Bodeguita del Medio is always busy and has nice live music. It is famous by its mojito and Hemingway as everyone knows but has also quite nice coffee. The outside walls of the bar are full of signatures, names, initials etc. It is one of the places you would like to be while you are in Havana.

Bar was super full, you can hardly get a place, low air circulation, bad service. Staff works for massive production of mojitos resulting on a poor quality drink for double the price. I highly recommend you to try mojitos somewhere else for half the price.

This is reputedly the place where the mojito was invented. If you are a lover of that particular drink then you should definitely go here to see the place. However, they just trade on the name now and seem to have no pride in what they sell - the mojitos here weren't much good and were very expensive which was... More

Nice to check out because of the Hemingway hang out but very busy and touristy. Great mojitos. Authentic live music.

History, atmosphere and everything you could wish for in this iconic Hemmingways ex bar. We didn't eat there but the meals we saw looked excellent. The music by the local band was also amazing.

We had a traditional Cuban meal which was tasty and then the band started playing. The music was so good that we bought the cd. It was a fun experience to eat here.

Frequented by the likes of Hemingway and Flynn, this restaurant is a very, very popular tourist haunt that lives up to its reputation. Signatures of patrons, famous and not, adorn the walls. Live music early til late. There is always a line outside, so book beforehand if you can. The food was great, music fab and service very good - we... More
