The open air food court style market attracts tourists and locals. Huge full meal portions for around 20 guilders. 6 different kitchens all seem to have very similar menus. We ordered takeout from Mom’s kitchen several times. Goat stew, Ox tail stew, Chicken curry and Shrimp. Always comes with rice or mashed potato or rice and peas or polenta. Also a little salad and plantains. Only open ~11 - 3. Too much food for us to eat at lunch so we bought it and kept it in our fridge to nuke at supper.

Overwhelming great- smelling food court with multiple "kitchens" cooking and selling similar local specialities, to include goat meat, iguana, rice and beans, fish stews, fried snapper and mahi-mahi. Seems most meat/ fish choices were served with fried plantain, seasoned mashed potatoes, and rice and beans, for about $10. Cash only. Lots of locals eat here.

Very enjoyable reasonable and not crowded (perhaps due to the rain). After listening to what various cooks were offering we settled on stewed papaya and also salt fish. Nice and spicy and definitely different from what restaurants in town offer. Helpful service and reasonable prices too.

This was the restaurant where real natives came to eat. It was enjoyable for the ambience. The food was not particularly exciting but filling. I ordered snapper but they were out and gave me dorad on top of fried rice. On the table there is a mixture of onions, vinegar and hot peppers that can be used to spice it up. My partner had chicken--same comments. As always the people were quite nice and helpful.

I'm sharing my experience at Mom's Kitchen (Mk) ordering fried red snapper lunch special. Waiter who can speak English said the price is $18 (US Dollar) so I order one. When I am about to pay, I was told the friend snapper price is $21. I complain about the price increase but they ask me to pay. Avoid Mom's Kitchen. They are dishonest with pricing.

We visited this hidden gem while on vacation in Cuaraco. The old market consists of several restaurants comprised of local tasty dishes made by locals. The servers were extremely friendly and even let us sample some of the dishes. We tried the stewed goat and red snapper. The servings were good and plenty. The goat was tender and the fish was very tasty. The lemon water (our version of lemonade) was very tasty also. A must stop if you are in Wilmested and in the mood for some great local dishes. The prices were also very cheap as well. You will truly get your money's worth here.

Great place to have a tasty selection of local home style cooking! Different stalls to choose from. We went to Zus di plasa and had fried red snapper fish and goat stoba (stew). Generous portion and super yummi!

We ate lunch here after a morning cruise snorkeling trip based on the recommendation of our guide. This place cooked and served authentic local food. We ate at Mom’s Kitchen. I had the ox tail stew and my wife had the grilled chicken. Both were delicious. We would highly recommend making the extra walk to try local food. We had to ask a few people how to get here.

This is open fort lunch and frequentied heavily by locals. I would call it Caribbean soul food: rice and beans, fried snapper, cactus soup, beef stew, stewed goat, plantains, etc. Menus are pretty simialr at all the stsands, btyu we opted for the one that was busiest (all the way at the end towards Peteramaai - away from the end towards Punda. If you liek local food - this is a grea tplace. If you want fancy and want table service then it won't be a good fit.

Lovely to see a local place and enjoy the local food. Even we had problems undertanding, many of the waiters only speak papiamentu or spanish which just triggers the experience. We looked at plates others were eating and pointed our fingers to order or my husband was taken to the open kitchen and they opened all the dishes cooking there. Delicious food for only 10 USD and too much for a lunch plate in the heat for us but dont miss this experience!!

This covered market has several indoor vendors all with rather similar offerings. Some are cash only some take cards. Very reasonable prices. We chose the vendor on the far east end based on recommendations from our concierge. Food was great and service was very nice. Pumpkin pancakes are a must.

Curacao has a broad variety of restaurants, and we had the search for one which had historically authentic, local cuisine (and this one was recommended by a local). We sampled the goat and chicken, and the only seasoning seemed to be salt. We are glad of the experience, but the other restaurants had - to our palette - better food.

This is true “home made” family dinner at its best. Everyone in the family can find their own preferred meal- and all will be good quality and giant portions (4 adults can probably share 2-3 meals if you don’t want to have leftovers). The chicken stew at Eva’s is wonderful. The Surinamese curry style food was also great. They will let you try a taste if you are unsure.

Interesting spot. Seemed like more locals than tourists eating here. Open air and it was hot in there on an 85 degree day with all cooking going on. Vendors did their best to explain what was on offer.
