We didn't know what to expect after trying other decent places but without anything special, here's how Petit Paradis managed to win our hearts. Hospitable service, the cook who tells the dishes and raw materials, the importance of fresh ingredients, are a great premise.
The 2 dinners tried were exceptional, starting from the different soup every day, and continuing with main course and dessert. Always different and challenging things. True Creole cuisine. Very good

We arrived for dinner not knowing what to expect. The owner cooks and the husband serves. Little did we know that the cook comes out before hand and gives a 5 minute speech on what she will be cooking and how she will make it. The soup was incredible, I would have taken home a barrel of it if I could. Fun experience and a great way to try local cuisine.

Our visit was part of a cruise excursion. Le Petit Paradis is in a gorgeous setting, We were treated to a creole cooking demonstration before tucking in to a delicious 3 course meal. The owners and staff were delightful.

Had an amazing lunch consisting of a local Caribbean tuna, beans, cabbage salad, fried plantains and some other yummy things. Although they weren’t open for lunch today, they graciously served us what they had available to make. They had the cutest dog also. It was a quaint, friendly atmosphere and they have some guest rooms to rent. In addition to the restaurant there was a small bar and they make snacks like fudge and coconut cookies, plus sell a few souvenirs. They also take credit cards so major plus. If you are hiking Middleham Falls this would be a great place to have lunch.

My wife and I stopped here on our 25th anniversary for lunch. We did not know anything about this spot other than we were hungry and they are a restaurant. Our experience here was nothing short of incredible. The food is al local and absolutely incredible and the owners are just the absolutely nicest people you could ever meet. If you are on the island and headed to Trafalgar, Hot Springs, Boiling Lake area, it is worth a trip from wherever you are to visit this fantastic restaurant.

On our way to the hot springs.
We visited this local place. They have a restaurant and 2 rooms for guesthouse.
Lunch included only fresh local vegetables and tuna.
Waiting time less then expected and value for money.

Stayed here for 4 nights and ate breakfast & dinner every morning.
The food was absolutely delicious and the hosts were so welcoming & friendly. It was my mother-law's birthday and they made it really special.
The drinks were great - especially the rum punch!
We had a great time here; it was close to a lot of activities / excursions we wanted to do.
The WiFi was good (which was great on the rainy evenings) and the rooms were lovely too.
It's a couple of minutes walk to Ti Kwen Glo Cho, so great for a little warm dip before dinner!

A great spot for lunch in you’re visiting the sulfur spas in Wotton Waven! We had the fish and chicken and loved the lentils!! This spot offers great local food and a good price and is super cute!

My husband took me there for my birthday and we had a good time! The service was great as well as the food! The area is peaceful and cool you don’t even need a fan or air con it’s naturally very cool! The room is comfortable and there’s even bed outside if you wanna go with that experience not forgetting the hot springs near by you got options 🤗

Le Petit Paradis is located on the bay front and gives spectacular views out over the bay. The cafe is a meeting place for both locals and tourists and serves a wide selection of food and drinks. This is an ideal place to visit when you are touring around Roseau.
Highly recommended.

Just arrived back in our airbnb after a great diner at le petit paradis. Its best to make
a reservation in advance and tel them your diet wishes because they have no menu but just 1 starter and 1 main course but ours was delicious. Also you our main course consisted of 4 different kinds of food so it was more then enough.
I would certainly advise to diner here if you are staying in the area.

Petit Paris is just a walk across the road where the inter-island ferry docks. When I use the ferry, I always stop in for a glass of wine. The food is nothing to mention, with limited items to choose fromin the menu. A nice place to have a drink.

My husband and I stopped for lunch at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the open air dining room was clean in spite of regular visits by the bullfinch and trembler birds (which were beautiful). Lunch included a typical assortment of foods (provisions, rice) but I was impressed by the lentils because I won’t normally eat them. I tried these and they were well seasoned and soft-completely changing my stance on avoiding lentils (at least while on Dominica). I would recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in or near Wotten Waven.

Tasty local food, where friendly local people meet. Our go-to restaurant when visiting Dominica, La Papillotte, was sadly devastated by hurricane Maria last November, so we had the opportunity to discover this very good alternative in the hills above Roseau.

Four of us arrived tired and hungry after a day exploring the Roseau Valley. We were delighted to find Joan and her husband open and happy to feed us. In next to no time, Joan had the table heaving with baked chicken and dorado, rice, salad and delicious dasheen chips. Washed down with bottled water and cold beer from the fridge, from which we were invited to help ourselves. Joan and her husband are lovely hosts and their restaurant is our new go to when visiting the Roseau Valley.
