We were a group of 10 sharing some appetizers in this nice restaurant, then strong plate spaghetti four cheeses for me, good wine list, attention of the waiters and excellent sommelier, have live music on the terrace for smokers, valet parking.

Good pasta!

La forchetta is a very nice restaurant with a large variety of pastas. I had the spinach and ricotta raviolis with aurora sauce and it was amazing. The pasta was fresh and the service was good. Definitely recommend to any pasta lovers.

read other reviews, definite hidden gem went on holiday weekend, wet night empty, but service very goods, initially brought wrong starter changed with no problem at all suggest u are hungry as portions are big and great limoncella

Good food, terrible service

We went with our family of 6, we ordered wine and Caprese salads, my wife ordered the carbonara, 2 daughters ordered spaghetti, son ordered the lobster pasta, our friend ordered the filet with red wine and I ordered the risotto de churrasco. The caprese was good as were all the pastas, the problem was the waiter somehow left out the filet and the risotto. We waited about 20 minutes after everyone else got their food and asked where our dishes were. The waiter was clueless. Definitely would not return! Then the waiter tried to charge for one of the dishes that wasn’t even delivered. Pretty unethical. We would not return!

Very good food, ambiance a bit lacking

We had a Burrata with Prosciutto, and two Filet Gorgonzolas, each with a different Risotto. We ordered a large bottle of Perrier and they uncorked a Brunello Riserva 2000 for us. The bill was under DOP4000 and of that uncorking was only DOP375. Very good prices. The quality of food was very high.Service was cordial and quick. The ambiance / decor was not what you would expect, but with that food for those prices, you become color blind :)

If you are an italian food lover, this is the restaurant you have to go to. If you are going after 8 it's best you make a reservation because it gets full. I love the spaguetti cartoccio, they put it in aluminum paper in the oven and it has alot of sea food. My daughter loves the food here. The ambience is cozy the staff explains anything you need to know. Buen provecho!

Not a bad dinner choice, buth there could be better...

I was looking for Italian cuisine that was w/in walking distance of my hotel (Embassy Suites). The front desk recommended La Forchetta. I visited this eatery on a Thursday night and had the place to myself. I was quickly seated and was quickly served my drink order. I chose to go light on the entree and selected the Paella de Mariscos. The bread that I was served with my drink order was a little stale. My entree was served fairly quickly and it was decent fare. The dish offered a variety of fish, a small salmon steak, 1/2 lobster tale, several medium sized shrimp, a couple mussels, a few small clams, and some sliced calamari, all grilled. I aslo selected a side of sliced peppers, onions, & squash for the sidedish. All was flavorfully grilled and prepared. Honestly, if it wasn't for the slightly stale bread, I would've given it a higher rating. Not bad, but would probably try another location in the area next time.

Nice Upscale Italian Restaurant

Lunch was very nice at La Forchetta. The pasta carbonara was very good. Two associates had fish and they were very pleased. The food was good, the service was good and ambience was very nice.We would like to try dinner on the next trip to Santo Domingo.

Excllent place to visit, nice food, superb service, try the Lasagna and the Beef Carpaccio best in town! Prices are very affordable and athmosphere is amazing. You will come back!

La forchetta offers great food, in a nice place, at very reasonable prices! The menu has something for every taste even though its an Italian restaurant; from pasta, to meat, to seafood, whatever you choose will please you palate! The "burrata" is amazing and the eggplant parmigian is the authentic Italian version of it! The drinks are really good too specially the daiquiris!

PLEASE TRY THE CHURRASCO RISOTTO!

This is one on the places you simply love to come back and back again! I tried the Churrasco Risotto about 3 years ago and ever since it has been my favourite dish! The atmosphere, the service! This is a great place to have business meetings or a casual lunch! Five stars!!!
