Made reservations in advance as we were a group. It was very quiet in terms of customers the night we were there. This restaurant is located just inside the Casino at the Hard Rock. Adults only. Love the vibe of the restaurant. Fun menu. Prices were good considering where we were. Some portions were smaller and some were well respected, again, based on the fact we were inside a Casino at a "high end" restaurant. Had a couple of drinks at the bar pre dinner. Bar service was impeccable. Once our group arrived we went into the dining section. Had the private room. Felt like Kings and Queens. Service was very good. Edamame is fantastic. Soup was fantastic. We split some side dishes - get the mac and cheese - yes really. Side portions were good in size. Lamb dish was a little on the small side, but very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Dessert was mouthwatering. Some of the adult beverages were very expensive while others were fair priced. Would I go back.. yes, if in the area. We were not guests of the Hard Rock. A great place to treat yourself for dinner. Enjoy!

The food, aesthetics and experience at Monterrey Manor were all very pleasing. And the waiter, Joel, was very astute and provided outstanding customer service. We dined on the red snapper and pasta, with roasted pepper, creamed spinach and bok choi sides. Dessert was the carrot cake and golden apple.
The one fact to be informed about before you dine is that there is effectively a twenty-seven percent (27%) surcharge to every check (service charge (10%) + ITBIS (17%)).
Highly recommend the food and experience, but the added 27% surcharge will make you think before dining.

Over the past years, we have dined at Montserrat a few times while staying at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. Our past exeriences have been good, but, nothing spectacular.... THIS time though, now under NEW management, the Chef and staff have really added an extra specail touch to the atmosphere and service, and the food was amazing!! We liked it so much, we returned for a second time! Special thanks to Hostess Yenny, who was professional and personable; and to our wonderful Servers Fabio, Francisco, Carlos, David and Jose. They made both nights really special! Note: This is above and beyond the all inclusive of the HRPC, but VERY well worth it for a special night of dining!

Host was very nice but the food and waiter is not worth the 5 star reviews especially when you dare to ask for it and give people the feeling that otherwise you might loose you job. Of course people will review you a 5 star but it is not honest. Food is ok but overpriced.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us your experience. I'm deeply sorry for the inconvenient that you had while dinning with us. We remember you celebrating with us your special birthday, but when asked didn't get any negative feedback, if not we would have taken any action possible to satisfy your needs at the moment. Please know that we take very seriously our client satisfaction, that's why we work only with fresh, never frozen meats and local products, and we push very hard to have an excellent delivery on our service experience. Also, we do kindly suggest at the end of our guest's dinner to rate our experience with us, that's for us to further improve our service and product, and keep growing as a brand; please excuse us if the request was presented in a wrong way that disturbed you, as we would never force our guests to do anything against their will. Still, I'll be discussing with the Montserrat Team about these points to work upon, to keep improving our experience and approach to our guests.

We went to Montserrat for dinner 3 times while in Punta Cana.
The first time everything was perfect- the food and the service deserving of a 5 rating.
The second time the service was very good but the food was not. The same items we ordered the first time (which were delicious!) were so salty that they were inedible and were sent back. We were shocked and asked if it was a different chef because we couldn't believe the difference. The waiter said same chef but I'm guessing the sous chef took over that night and was too heavy handed with the salt.
We decided to give it another try and the third time the food was good (we told waitstaff to tell chef to go easy on the salt) but the service was not. Our food order was mixed up - we ordered scallops - they brought octopus. But the worst part is it took over 30 minutes to pay our bill. They took the credit card and we literally waited for over 30 minutes with no one coming back so some of us left and the person whose credit card it was had to basically chase them down to pay the bill. Very frustrating.
Overall given this inconsistency we will not be returning and cannot recommend to others.

Overpriced and low quality food. You are better off just eating in one of the hotel’s restaurants that is already included with your stay. My salad tasted spoiled, way too much vinegar in the dressing and pickled cucumbers. The crab cake was lukewarm and consistency was off. The baked potato wasn’t hot and bacon undercooked. The saving grace was the employees who were very friendly and the live music was really good as well.

Not that good as all the review are saying. They force u to write a good review, the waiter almost told me what to write. The dinner was super expensive (200$) for 1 snack, 1 rib eye, 2 sides, 2 glasses of wine.
I really did not liked that i have been asked to leave 5 star review.

Decided to book a reservation with this restaurant for my bday. The prices are EXPENSIVE for very subpar food. The service is great but it was a little awkward when they brought my scallops out as my “first course” and my broccolini out as my 2nd. I ordered them together and wanted to eat them together. My friend ordered a lemon drop drink and I ordered an apple martini. It took 10 minutes for our drinks to come out, only for the lemon drop to be something that was NOT a lemon drop cocktail. When the check came, we noticed that we were charged for water… the same water that we had been drinking for free for the last week at the resort as part of the all inclusive package. To sum it up, we put that it was a bday celebration on the reservation when they asked if we were celebrating anything. There was no mention of any celebration by the wait staff. No happy birthday or anything. Needless to say, we should have saved our our money on this incredibly overpriced dinner and just eat at the market, Caio, Toro or any of the other great restaurants included on our package.

Came all the way from Miami to this Amazing place!!!! It’s a must come. Food was great and SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING!!! We came for a birthday celebration and they made sure the birthday girl had a amazing time by giving her and the group complimentary appetizers and deserts also gave her a complimentary cocktail. David and Francisco were our waiters and they treated us like family.

Came here w the family but needed a night to ourselves so treated ourselves to dinner at Montserrat and it was sooo worth it! The porterhouse was perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare (as we requested). Fabio was our waiter and was so attentive but not disruptive and the birthday cake and candle was a nice thoughtful touch. Thank you!!

David was our server and was excellent at helping us choose our dishes. He was very careful with my wife's food allergies and made sure she enjoyed her meal. Portions are huge but amazing taste. My kids loved it too. Thank u David and Montserrat Manor 😀❤👍🏻

Montserrat was tremendously accommodating in arranging our dinner for 12 - time and date, private room as a last minute request, delivering on a custom birthday cake. Beyond the delicious steaks, seafood and sides we enjoyed, we had the most attentive wait staff we could have asked for. Edrey, Davry and Joel were constantly at our service, bringing drinks and whatever else we needed quickly, and always with smiles. They and other staff seemed to enjoy our party as much as we did. Our group can be a handful at times, and these three gentlemen made us feel welcome, appreciated and ready to go back. Montserrat is a dining experience definitely worth paying for outside the all-inclusive package.

Victor G and Julio B made our entire trip better. We paid for the all inclusive which was a generally in terrible experience, but we went to the paid restaurant one time and this made our entire five days a much better experience. The cocktails were amazing and the food was amazing. Some of the best dessert drinks I’ve ever had in my entire life as a bartender of nine years. I recommend anybody who is going to the hard rock Puta Cana to come to this restaurant and see these bartenders. There are a ton of complaints about this entire trip but this one experience made this entire trip so much better. Thank you to them and behind the bar for being so awesome. The bartenders are under rated, super attentive and always trying to spice up your cocktail life.

David , our server, made the evening very enjoyable. His service was fabulous. He was thoughtful, timed the courses perfectly, and we never had an empty glass. The food was delicious, not one complaint from our group of 5. We had a variety of starters, 3 salads shared among us and entrees with a variety of sides we shared ( highly recommend the baked sweet potato). Hoping to get another reservation before our trip is over.

We ate at the Montserrat Manor at The Hard Rock Punta Cana last night. (Wife’s Birthday) First off, we were glad that they gave us a $200 USD voucher.
They had no idea how to make or what a dry martini was. Apps came and were very good. Shrimp cocktail and grilled octopus.
We ordered the 24 oz bone in rib eye to share. Our steak came and we had no plates or utensils or even the hint of a steak knife. This restaurant isn’t included in the “ all inclusive “ resort. They stressed that their steaks are from Chicago. There was more fat than meat. It was a tough steak to even cut ($70). Besides that the service was beyond terrible.
And to top it off, they had a singer singing with heavy disco bass behind her in an upscale restaurant. Definitely not needed. Couldn’t have a conversation.
Overall it was a very very disappointing dining experience.
If you are visiting or planning a trip to The Hard Rock, avoid this place at all costs.
