At the southern end of Grand Anse beach, not far from the Blue Horizons, Mount Cinnamon and Coyaba resorts, Umbrellas is a two-storey beach front bar and restaurant. Always busy, Umbrellas is popular with visitors and locals alike thanks to its casual vibe, extensive menu and daily $10ECD cocktail offers. We lunched and dined here several times during our two-week stay, particularly enjoying the crispy chicken wings, Carriacou love bites (fish goujons), chicken caesar salad and baby back ribs. Portions are generous and the food is tasty and very resonably priced, and the service is as friendly and efficient as it can be, given that the place can be *very* busy at times (particularly on a Friday and Saturday night). You can enjoy live music on Fridays and Sundays and if dining in is not your bag there's also a very popular take away service. As mentioned, we liked this place so much we kept coming back; chances are, you will too.

Visited Umbrellas for food and drinks after going out on a snorkelling trip with eco dive next door. We notice it was happy hour so we had a few beers during this time 4pm-6pm we also ordered some chicken wings and fish tacos with a side salad which was all very nice. We had 3 bottles of beer each during happy hour and just after 6pm when we had finished out meal requested the bill. When the bill came none of the beers were at happy hour prices so we told the server who took the bill away and amended it we waited 20 minutes for it to be amended when it came back we had 2 more beers added to the bill at full price plus the 3 drinks we had each. I mentioned this to the waitresss who advised we had ordered extra beers after happy hour I advised this was not possible as we requested the bill just after 6pm when we had finished all our food and drink and they had spent the last 20 minutes sorting the bill out. I was in no mood to argue so I paid the bill and advised the 2 extra beers I was charged for will be the tip. Just be careful when ordering and check your bill as they seem a bit unorganised and add more drinks to your bill.

It's all about the scenery for me wherever you are in umbrellas you can take in the view of the sea which is amazing. However choose your seating wisely as the sun is often scorching, so find seating with a little shade. Servers were pleasant enough and the wait for the food was a little long, it was extremely busy in the restaurant as there were many family's celebrating graduation. It seems like the kitchen does struggle when there are so many people ordering not sure if that's down to a shortage of kitchen staff. The drinks were ice cold and once the food arrived I found it tasty however my husband thought his grilled chicken burger had a little too much salt, I had the chicken caesar wrap with fries. It not a cheap eat at umbrellas was go prepared like all restaurant drinks will cost more than the local shops. We visited late afternoon after a lengthy time on the beach and for me it was a perfect way to end the day. Keep in mind the music is very load so if your looking for a quiet spot Umbrellas may not be for you.

We arrived at 5:30 PM on Sunday and had no issues finding a table -- plenty of empty spots, so no wait. We sat upstairs, which turned out to be a great choice for the water view and a clear view of the singer when the band started at 6:30 PM. By then, the place was packed with a lineup at the door. Don’t come here expecting a sunset view, though -- trees block it completely off to the far left side. The frozen cocktails were solid, and the $10 daily drink special was made of strong rum, peach and ginger. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a beachy drink vibe. The sweet potato fries were great, and the coleslaw was also good. The Cariaccou Love Bites (fried fish appetizer) were the highlight -- perfectly crispy with a great texture. The Chicken Caesar wrap had nicely grilled chicken strips, which gave it a good flavour. However, the grilled lambie in garlic butter was a disappointment -- it wasn’t grilled at all and had a strange texture. I've had much better lambie elsewhere. Service was the biggest letdown. It was slow, and we had to ask for cutlery three separate times before finally getting it. However, communication was clear about main course wait times which helped us decide to order an appetizer which arrived quickly. Overall, a fun, casual spot for drinks and some decent bites. If you go on Sunday, aim for an early table around 5:30 pm on the second floor for the best experience. Service could be better, and I’d avoid the lambie, but the delicious drinks, sweet potato fries, and Cariaccou love bites fried fish appetizer make it worth a visit.

Deanna was absolutely excellent with her customer service 10/10. We had to wait a long time for our food and when we did get it all together it came one every 30 minutes with the last one almost 60 minutes after the first order. The kitchen made an error with the order, which lead to having a manager to come out. My issue was if the kitchen made the error management she acknowledged but insisted is got the server should have brought my food back to the kitchen in order the fix it. The it is an additional order of shrimp was placed on on order which was already being eaten without realizing there was on error with the order. I feel that the manager should have practiced what the teach the server/ hostess. Not make excuses and make the customer feel like they should pay the difference or made to feel bad for the kitchens error. Even though the wait time was extremely long we were enjoying our self. To be honest I feel since am a native vs a foreigner the accommodation with of been different. I say this because it’s my 3rd time here and my first two visits was awesome. I will came back again but I will be absolutely sure I clarify double check triple check all order.

We visited Umbrella’s Beach Bar twice while staying at Coyaba Beach Resort for a couple of nights in June (Umbrella’s is right next door to Coyaba along the beach). Our first visit was for dinner and our second was for afternoon adult beverages the next day. For dinner, we had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, Shrimp Tacos, Grilled Chicken Breast (blackened) with a Caesar side salad and 4-5 various adult beverages. Everything was cooked and presented well and tasted great. We had no issues with the service or wait times. Sat on the upper deck with a great view of the beach and sunset. We stopped in for afternoon drinks after visiting the Coyaba Beach Resort bar and were quoted EC$28 (~US$10) for one Pina Colada. At Umbrella’s, we were able to get three adult beverages in large paper cups with tops to take out on the beach for EC$42 (~US$15), including tip. What a deal. And the drinks were a good size and tasted great. Next time we are on Grande Anse Beach, we will be back.

This spot was highly recommended, even befoRe we landed in Grenada. We opted to go on a Friday evening and was given no inclination that we should make reservations, as walk-ins are welcomed. The moment we arrived, there was a line snaking around the parking lot (which is in the front of the property, so you have to constantly move away to allow cars to pass, then re-enter the line). One of the staff stood at the front shouting "2 people?" so that groups that were larger had no chance of even getting in, since there were very few people leaving the establishment. After three children and hunger, we decided to call back the taxi driver (we wasted US $20) who took us to a container park instead. This is extremely disappointing, especially coming from islands that have way more tourists and traffic. Either reservations should be encouraged or table dine limits put in place.

We arrived on a Friday night and a table was found inside for us. There was a good atmosphere with locals and tourists and the food arrived more quickly than we expected. The food was good and not too expensive. The reason for the 2 star review is that when the bill came and we asked to pay by card, the waitress demanded to know how much tip we wanted to add. When we said not to add a tip and we’d leave any tip in cash, she stood over us and asked again how much tip we were going to leave. This was totally inappropriate and spoiled what had otherwise been a pleasant evening.

We ate here twice on their music nights (Friday and Sunday) and you need to arrive early to be sure of getting a table, as they don’t take reservations. Overall, the food is good and reasonably priced but, like so many restaurants on their very busy nights, they struggle to maintain their levels of service. My wife’s meal arrived well before mine and was not the meal that she had ordered and drinks had to be requested three times before they arrived. Having said that, my Mahe Mahe was probably the best I have ever had and the music was good. So, I would certainly return, but some better training and organisation of the staff would not go amiss.

We are tourists on holiday in grenada, recommended highly to visit this restaurant. We went to the counter to order drinks at the couner, the staff at the bar who told us to go to the cashier and pay first before you can get the drinks, we did this and then later we decided to do have a meal. We went back to the cashier paid for the meal and drinks and was told the food would be ready in approximately 45mins because it was busy which we understood. Over an hour went by, we went back to the cashier and 45mins have gone by, she said it was stood here for a while in a paper bag for you to take out. I said to the cashier I told you it was eat in and sat at table 74, she said it has been here for a while and she will warm it up and put it in a bag! This is absolutely shocking service knowing that you are tourist you think they would inform you, obviously this is a restaurant with lack of class, dignity or integrity. The management was also very reluctant to give a refund even after the service we received after we refused to eat warm up cold food! They seem to have a lack of intelligence, decorum, or any style of etiquette. I would seriously consider visiting the restaurant if you want to be verbally abused, disrespected and humiliated.

Lunch at Umbrellas was a delightful experience overall. The restaurant is set against a backdrop of stunning views of Grand Anse Beach, providing a serene and picturesque atmosphere. The food is undoubtedly one of its highlights. We were impressed by the diverse selection that caters to various tastes and preferences. The dishes we ordered were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Complementing the fantastic food is the bar's selection of drinks. We indulged in refreshing cocktails, which added to the enjoyment of our meal. The service was decent but not exceptional. While the staff was polite and accommodating, there were moments when responsiveness and attentiveness fell slightly short. Despite this minor drawback, it did not significantly detract from our overall dining experience.

The food was mediocre. Two people in our party ordered lobster tails and thought they were overcooked. My friend enjoyed her chicken wings and fries. I tried the blackened fish tacos and the fish was very thick (I believe it was tuna) and not to my liking. The atmosphere was festive and the people were lively. We didn’t try the alcoholic drinks, but the cocktails looked refreshing. We loved the music and the airiness of the bar. Lots of seating is available! Service was adequate, could’ve been better. The server kept forgetting to bring items such as a soda, the fries (arrived 10 minutes after our food), and additional sauce for the lobster, Ultimately, I thought we’d visited this spot several times during our stay, but we found one time to be sufficient. I can imagine that if our resort wasn’t on the beach, we would’ve hung around for the beach views. We walked on the street from the Radisson, but we couldn’t walked on the beach as well. I wouldn’t walk the street at night because the side street that leads to Umbrellas is lined by bushes and trees but with very little light. The island is safe, but I’d still exercise precaution. Note: Some menu items were not available and they can’t (or they won’t) split checks. Even still, I’m glad we visited. If I visited again, it would be for a cocktail and chicken wings.

Ate in Umbrellas twice on our trip, once for lunch and once for dinner. It’s a beach bar and restaurant so the food is not fancy, but was very good both times – tuna steak, hamburger, salads, fries were all enjoyed. Wine is pretty pricey, cocktails fair. We ate downstairs for lunch, service was friendly, fast, helpful and efficient. Second time we were upstairs, service was dreadfully slow, order was wrong and then the correction to the order was wrong also. Staff didn’t seem too concerned that the service was a mess I guess it depends who you get as some staff were very inexperienced (but not all). But it’s a beach bar, so you have to go with the flow a bit. They had rugby on when we were there for lunch which some of our group wanted to watch – they put this on one of the TVs which was appreciated. It was very very busy both times, second time they had a local band playing and downstairs was rocking! I would go back and next time just hope that I get the experienced staff! Oh its also right on the beach so you walk in straight from the sand.

I like this place. There’s live music several times a week, a decent menu and it works. Remember you’re on Grenada so if it’s busy you might wait a while. When you turn up you’ll see an employee moving around usually with a clipboard. Give them your name and number of people - cut through the crowd at the entrance to do this if there is a queue. Then head back outside, grab a beer from the takeaway bar and wait for your name to be called. The menu is the same as much of the beach restaurants but there’s more choice and also plenty of cocktails. Again the pace is frantic for the staff but might appear too relaxed to the visitor. Go with the flow. Grab a drink when the menus come and then everything goes from there. If you order another drink it will come. I’ve never had to ask twice. Sometimes it’s then in 2 minutes and sometimes it’s longer - 10 minutes. But it comes. As does the food. The atmosphere is always good - a mix of locals (always a good sign) and tourists.

This Spot is a must hang or stop by if you are staying on or near Grande Anse Beach. they have alot of snack and beachy food options like tacos and nachos and burgers, local beers, cocktails and a fun atmosphere to hang out after the beach or for a nice reasonable priced Lunch or dinner. We passed by for bottled water or beers at the take out stand on our way to the beach then popped by after for a quick cheap bite. The service was typical island slow but who's in a rush after baskin on the beach all day.... plus the local college students hang here they seem to have everything u need and expect from a beach bar/restaurant.
