This is an authentic pirates cove and any parent should be sure to visit with their kids. It definitely reminds me of all of those movies with Johnny Depp. A pristine beach and a lovely protected cove with ocean waves and cool breezes.

My wife and I tried to order using three different waiters and waitress none which spoke english. Finally a gentleman from upstairs came down and helped us order. The food was was not very good, We order calamari as a starter which was all batter and very little calamari. I ended up ordering a hamburger which was very dry, this... More

We ate twice here during our stay on Guadeloupe, and enjoyed both occasions. The staff are friendly and helpful even when the restaurant is packed. It is advisable to reserve a table. We had good food and tried different dishes, our only disappointment in our group was the steak which was very fatty. The tuna was excellent and the creole... More

A bit hard to find at night, but once you walk in, it might remind you of a big New England family lobster restaurant, with all the rum paraphernalia and plastic menus. Do not be deceived! The food is superb, the service reasonably attentive. This restaurant really effectively combines the skill of French cuisine with the depth and local versatility... More

The view is amazing and they made sure to sit us at the best table available. We do not speak much French and needed a little help translating the menu so our waitress had the English speaking bar tender come take our order and he was great! We had the lobster and the lobster salad and both were good. The... More

We had the lunch here, we served grilled fish and lobster (full menu at 40 euro including desert and starter), everything was amazing. If you comme late you may not get the lobster or any fish, just chicken. I recommend and for sure on the next vacation we will come back here.

Most of the restaurants in Guadeloupe aren't super exciting, but la Rhumerie du Pirate really works to give people an excellent experience. The food is delicious, the service is good, and I appreciated the creativity that went into the plating of the meals. They really try to add color and a bit of whimsy to the plate, which I enjoyed.... More

The best thing about the restaurant is the location otherwise the typical Guadeloupe food was nothing special, the service was slower than usual (although friendly). We would probably go back if we return to the island based on convenience more than anything

Typical Guadeloupe menu. Service was very very good, lobster a bit overcooked but everything else was fine. The view is what it is all about.

Four rules to follow: 1. eat seafood; skip the meat 2. focus on local rum drinks (they're not stingy on booze) 3. don't expect fast service 4. parle français
