We thought the prices would be higher than they were--the lobster on the menu drives up the average price listed in Lonely Planet. It's about Applebee's prices. We got the sampler platter, with ackee and saltfish, jerk chicken, and goat curry and it was fantastic!!

The Pelican is set up like an old diner, stateside. Round booths and carpets from an earlier time. The AC was such a treat that we stayed and watched the entire game on TV. The curried goat was excellent.

My niece ordered a platter of food thinking that it would feed a few people, but it fell way short of expectations. Her son even said it was the worse food he had ever tasted.

The Pelican never disappoints. Classic Jamaican food, good service. Will always stop in when I pass through Montego Bay.
