Its a cool spot to chill and have a nice bite of food, as long as the owner is there and cooking. If he is not there the food is not up to par. But stop and check it out.

Jerk chicken was ok. Scene was neat. Don't think I will be back. Waiter tried to pull a fast one on us for price. Understand everyone's gotta eat but not like that.

I had King steamed fish and it was great! It is made done to order, so you can be sure that everything in your plate is very fresh. Nothing over-cooked; perfect seasoning.

If you are in Negril and would like to taste THE BEST jerk chicken in town, then De Bar is a must stop. Trevor marinates his chicken for a day in jerk seasoning before putting them on the grill. The bonfire in the backyard is where the pimento wood is being burned into charcoal. Each meal is cooked to order.... More

This place is family owned restaurant. It looks a little bit strange for the restaurant but do not forget that you at Jamaica! It is ok for here. We ordered chicken and fish and both where perfectly cooked. We loved it! Stuff was very very kind and grateful. We had wonderful time there. I recommend this place for lunch or... More

The only negative thing I can say about this is nothing. I loved the food, the beer was cold. When you go to a bar in Jamaica and the majority of the clients are locals, count on the food being good. It is not a fancy place, but it is perfect for what it is.

Great first visit! The restaurant is located outdoors and just great for large groups seeking some jerk style pork/ chicken. They have a lot of picnic style seating and even have a bin fire going at night. The place is smoke friendly with free wi-fi and a bar. The staff was great and the jerk chicken is one of if... More

De Bar is nothing fancy, it's a bar with a guy cooking on a grill....but it is delicious and a cool atmosphere. My husband loved his jerk chicken. I would definitely go again.

Quick service here, everything made fresh on charcoal grill. I get the 1/4 chicken with bread for $500. They also have goat, fish, conch, lobster, rice and veggies. Cash only! This place is right near my hotel and is constantly busy at night. I stop there every night for a later evening snack!

This is a local place with a three generation recipe for jerk chicken. Might have some fresh fish, but it's all about the chicken. Plan to sit a bit, get a beer, relax, listen to the sounds of the cliffs.
