We went for Dinner, I had a ceviche my husband had tacos de carnitas. The flavor isn't there, us Texans eat spicy food. I must say you will not find much of spiciness in the flavor of the food even if requested. The pico de gallo isn't with fresh jalapeño peppers it is served much different, puerto rican food is... We were a party of 4 looking for an authentic experience in Old San Juan. This restaurant offered everything we were looking for. We walked right in, were greeted by a very cheerful hostess, promptly seated in the front room. The menu, food and service were outstanding! The ambiance is real and authentic. I would highly recommend this place to... More

This is a great bar/restaurant to go visit while in Old San Juan. Great cocktails and even better staff! We did grab a few appetizers and they were excellent. The place is really big if you venture beyond the bar area. There's a lot of small seating areas for a more intimate experience. Even if you just stop for one... More

This was a disappointing experience. We chose El Asador based on reviews. When we arrived we asked to be seated in the interior courtyard. We were offered drinks and received water right away. We asked for a few minutes to read through the menu, and waited quite some time for our order to be taken. There were very few people... More

It was my daughter's 24th bday dinner Jan 5th and she wanted to spend it here and I'm so glad she did. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant staff was friendly. I see the reviews and my experience was way different. We were greeted, given a table and waited maybe 15mins for food. A typical wait for any restaurant... More

Ok, we were 9 persons with teenagers so didn't have much choice for dinner reservations. Both service and quality of food confirmed all the bad reviews. We spent 2 hrs waiting for cold food, most of which was standard frozen fare reheated--certainly not worth the $25 price tag. The waitress was cute but completely out of her depths. The only... We went for dinner and were a bit suprised. The prices were a bit high consediring the restaurant wasnt that fancy. We ended up taking the three course menu (23$). Besides that the maincourses were all 24$ and up. The restaurant didnt have a drink menu and had only one type of red wine so we ordered that (36$) The... More
