This was some of the best food I have ever had. Even my mom who is not a foodie whatsoever enjoyed it. The menu is different every night. I had the most delicious swordfish, appetizers and sangria. Our server was so personable and fun. I...More

A must in Puerto Rico. Food lives up to its reputation. Crab fritters, ribeye, grouper, and wings all incredible. Excellent flavor combinations and unique preparations. Expect simple but fun atmosphere. Walk over put your name in and go have a drink on the square.

Another must try during your stay in San Juan. I'm often confused by the hype around some restaurant. They turn out to be okay. This place delivered. We could barely get in the door because people outside who had just finished were telling us how...More

A truly hidden gem - literally! There are no signs and if you do not know to look for the pink house you will walk right by. We are both in the food business and anxiously waited to enjoy what everyone has been telling us....More

Congratulations on the James Beard nomination! I'm trying to get a sense of the price range. $$ - $$$ could mean a variety of things. Hope to see you next week.

Thank you for posting he's open again. We went there for the first time last March, 2015. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time, great food, met some locals, met Jose himself, awesome service. We will be returning to San Juan again this year April 27th, we had read he was closed and we both were heart broken. When I read the NEW posts he was back in business it made us so happy. Last March we went at 5:30 p.m. and the restaurant was full. My husband always calls me a bar fly, thank goodness cause we got the last 2 seats at the bar. We had the best time, we still talk about how great the food and service was. I wish he took reservations, I can see why he doesn't. Thank you for posting, so relieved to read the great reviews! Come on April, hurry and get here!

Located in the Placita de Santurce, the local farmers' market in the heart of San Juan and a very popular Friday night hangout among the locals.
