You enter the restaurant through the back of a gift shop but once you enter the restaurant its light and open. We were the only people when we arrived but several groups arrived about half way through our meal. We saw from other reviews that the pernil is delicious but unfortunately they were out. I ordered the mofongo chicken and... More

Yes you do enter via the gift shop. Food was good but not outstanding. We had cod fish cake appetizer. Hit the spot. Then permil (roasted pork ) with 2 sides very tasty and mofongo fish. Very generous serving. This was for 3. An entree each would be too much food. entrees are 13 to 20. So yes when you... More

This restaurant is hidden the back of a cute gift shop. It had very good reviews so we stopped. Service was good on arrival, but it took quite awhile to get food (and the place was almost empty). Drinks were good. The pulled pork was good, the fried pork was very dry. Chicken was extremely dry. Rice soup with shrimp... More

We found this really cool place by accident. You have to walk through a store to the very back to get in. The location, the space and the ambience was awesome. That was the end of the positives. Our waitress was friendly when she was around but not attentive. It took forever to get served and the food was ok... More

There is a sign giving the wifi password and offering free drinks to customers who give five-star reviews on yelp or tripadvisor, so all the positive reviews you read should be suspect. We did not like our meal here and were shocked at how high the cost was for how average the food was. The food was overcooked and greasy.... More

We walked up the hill from the San Juan Gate. Turn right at the church and you'll see the menu sign outside a shop. Walk through the shop and don't stop until you get to the back. The place looks small but actually seats about 40 covers. We were only looking for an afternoon authentic Puerto Rican tapas & cocktail.... More

Food was great in the back and the store in the front has a great selection of jewelry and clothes. Not your typical souvenir store, high quality. A must visit if your in Old San Juan.

From the traditional mojito to the homemade custard, everything was tasty, really really good. We tried the alcapurrias, trifongo, fried meat, churrasco, pasta, pernil and mampotea'o. As a puertorrican I can say this has been one of the best local food I have taste.

We found this place hidden behind a store as we walked through the Old San Juan around dinner time. We ordered tostones with shrimp and the pulled pork (pernil). The pernil came with two sides and it was plenty of food!! Everything tasted really good! We really liked the garlic shrimp tostones and the pernil was super tender and flavorful.
